I have lived in California for about a year total and can see why people want to live there. I think they would be better off financially as a state if they didn't get 78 cents back for every dollar they send to the federal government. Considering its the 6th largest economy in the world that is a lot of money going out of their state to fund places like Mississippi. Which, as absurd as it may seem, they have a large contingent of voters that demonize the very state that provides the most federal relief to them. All in all, California is a great state to live in. So much to do and places to go. I used to complain about it until I lived there and saw how great it really is.
Out of curiosity, what stereotype is that? I've seen a wide array of people support Beto. A very diverse demographic. Is it possible that your "stereotype" is inaccurate crap that has been fed to you, that you gobble up? Who am I kidding, I'll just stop now.
Blue states, on the whole, do better than Conservative states. California, Oregon, Washington, Massachusetts, etc. All have superior quality of life metrics. On the other hand you have red states like Oklahoma, Missouri etc that are prime examples of a failing conservative ideology.
And yet, I just posted state rankings in important quality of life areas and Texas falls well behind California (and many other states). You'd think a state as rich as Texas would invest better in its people...
Overall a strong case can be made for Texas as the most selfish state. In roughly the middle of the states by wealth per capita, but always down there with the lowest 10 states (and often the lowest 5) states like Mississippi, Alabama, South Carolina as the stingiest states with spending on indigent healthcare, mental health care etc.
Just wanted to drop in to say I’m a Field Organizer with the Beto Campaign and it’s been an amazing ride.
He did blow it. There are Republicans who dislike Cruz, and Beto completely ignored them. I'll give Beto credit for doing better than single-issue candidate Wendy Davis.
If you have a lessons learned meeting after the election, please convey to the Beto camp to actually heed to the request to stop the dang text messages when people make them? While they have slowed down recently, I received way too many for a few months.
Literally all you had to do was respond to any one of them with "Stop". I did that once and never received another text.
