I didn't think a color man could be worse than Sean Elliot, but Clyde is proving me wrong.

Refs probably called MCW for the foul to compensate Harden for all the grabbing they allowed earlier in the game whenever Harden was off ball.

Re: the HOU broadcast team, I've grown to love them. They (well, Bill at least) know they're being giant homers, so I enjoy that about them

He lifted Harden. I think you are mistaking the voice of the opposing announcers as the voice of truth. Wedge and lift = foul. You are wrong. And bad at English. Your words are "bunch of craps".

I want our announcers to be hardcore Rockets fans. I want insight into the Rockets locker room. I want someone who gets furious if there's a hard foul on one of our players. I DO want them to admit when they make a mistake, but that's a minor quip. Why the F would I want an objective announcer? Bill is an icon, Bull is informative, Clyde is stupidly funny. All of them are obsessed about the Rockets. I find it perfect.

If opponents are ranking us 30th, then they are doing great imo.

Honestly, 30 seems not low enough for Houston's broadcasting team...

Barf. Came from Bay Area... listened to great Warrior announcers like Bill King and Hank Greenwald. The team suffered through a few schlubs (including Marv Alberts brother), then lucked into a great hire named Greg Papa, who mixed knowledge, voice and humor into a team that was outright horrible to listen to.

Fitzgerald, who was a popular radio talk show host in the vein of Charlie Pallilo, backstabbed his friend Greg Papa and discussed taking Papa's job with the Warriors former horrible owner and immediately became the most hated broadcaster in the Bay Area. Even if you could ignore the horrible way he got the job, his "know-it-all" style and blatant positive spin approach made it even harder to listen to his game call. The only reason to listen was the color commentator (Jim Barnett, extremely knowledgeable and likable... to degree his name was often included in coaching opportunities).

Tim Roye, like Fitzgerald a radio talk show host hired away from the Sacramento Kings broadcast team) was and is a much better radio voice. But I would rather listen to any other broadcaster (including Clyde, and any Boston broadcaster) than Fitzgerald.

I was watching the heat broadcast for a change to see what they are saying about us.
Color me impress, there no homerism **** going on, even better than hubie, reggie, gundy combined.
Theres no weird high pitched tone or shouting.
In depth info and very well informed on both sides, yet they are at the very bottom of the league

They can show their passion for the home team (express enthusiasm when they play well, disappointment when they do not) and simultaneously call things fairly.

Personally, I think Worrell and Ackerman are fine. I find Bullard/Drexler to be repetitive and bland. Bullard at least tries. Drexler rarely has anything interesting to say. I suppose he must have a ton of basketball knowledge — but it doesn’t come across at all.

Another possibility is that Houston voters are #1 at b****ing and moaning. . . .

The Worrell gig has gone on about ten years too long.
