I was thinking the same thing. I dont believe EG has been on the table, or this deal would already be done. Morey is in a tough spot. I heard someone mention that he wants to add Jimmy to our current core group which includes EG. I think it comes down to whether or not Morey can accept Tyus Jones as our new back up, full time rotation guard. Minny must want EG, Chriss, Knight, and the 4 1sts. Plus they want to move Dieng if i am to believe the reports. If we got back Jones, along with Butler would that be enough to beat GS has to be the question running through Morey/Tillman's mind. Would we also need Gibson? Can we afford Dieng? Would it be worth it?Tough questions . Star hunting has not been easy for DM. I commend his efforts, and i know why he wants to keep EG. Minnie wants to deplete our current team and future assets if we want Jimmy. That has become clear to me. I guess it comes down to how important is EG as a part of a championship formula. If EG is truly the hold up, i hope he becomes worth it. This may be our last chance to land a 3rd star during the Paul/Harden era.
If EG is the hold up in a deal for Jimmy Freaking Butler Morey needs to get fired for not accepting this deal
Mentally weak lol, you try playing for a team that doesnt want you. I dont even think thats the reason, Gordon has always been streaky.
He is worth two billion dollars........ you would like to think that he knows what he is doing........ but remember: Joe Smith, Kevin McHale..........
I'd do EG, Knight and 3 1st's. Let's not get it twisted either, getting off the Knight contract will still be hard. Not as hard as Rynos but are we expecting another team in a situation like the Sun's? Kings look like they're past their older mentor phase. Bulls look like they're completely skipping it. So maybe the Hawks? They've been a dumping ground for a while now so I wouldn't hold out too much hope. I love the optimism around here, I really do, but Knight isn't MUCH of an easier contract to move than Rynos. At least Ryno played..
It's pretty crazy. If ever there was a need to point out that "looks" play no part in getting extremely rich, he is the classic example. Wow. Just wow.
This thing is beyond ridiculous. Ultimately, I wish these players would just ride it out or ask for trades in private. It just becomes such a saga. First Melo and now this. That being said.... Butler did what he did and it is time for Minnesota to move him and everyone move on. Thanks, DD
It won’t happen till February which really sucks. Glenn Taylor reiterated it on that interview. He is firm on getting more assets
