Are the races tightening in your state? Election day is shaping up to become quite the doozie.

I hate to say this, but Beto has a better chance to become the dems nominee than to become the next US Senator from Texas. Despite all that migration from the

This is probably true and I'm sure Beto is thinking the same thing. Regardless of the result, he's setting himself up very well for a presidential run in the near future on the democratic ticket. Dems need a change and he's gained massive popularity across the US.

Gillum (FL governor race) and Beto have really upped their national profile during these midterms. I anticipate they'll be a big part of the next wave of Democratic leadership

If he loses they aren’t going to put him on a national ticket

I think it has more to do with his echo chamber than anything else. He likely really did think that Texans would support that kind of agenda.

RealClearPolitics has the race at Cruz by 7.2 points and they tend to be more accurate.

Why not? He has raised more money than any senator ever. I have never seen a politician work as hard as him. It seems like he is everywhere. If Hillary worked as hard as him I think she wins. He is very charismatic and a good speaker., And he is tall which usually determines the presidential winner.

What happens if he loses is a great question. I don’t think he will run after losing a senate race, but he will likely move into a role doing something on the national level.

He seems to be missing a step before running for president but who knows. If he can’t win in Texas maybe he still can’t win in Iowa, Ohio, and Michigan too which is the risk profile im sure dnc consultants and pollsters will be trying hard to figure out.

One thing I do know though is if he does win, he’s definitely running in 2024 or 2028.

Regardless of the outcome of this Senate race, I’m very interested to see how Beto uses this momentum to springboard his career in the next few years.

2020 definitely feels too early for Beto to contemplate a Preisdntial run. Wonder if the Dems would consider him as VP, alongside an elder, more experienced member of the party (i.e. Biden)

He’s already said that 2020 is out of the question and that he would be commited to serving the full term as senator.

There is nothing special about Beto. He's parroting the same mainstream Democrat talking points. The only difference between Beto and Schumer is that Beto skateboards.

Breaking records raising money and making a Texas Senate race way too close for the Republicans liking. Nothing special at all or... Beto is rustling your jimmies like he's doing to the Zodiac Killer. Can you imagine an incumbent Republican Senator losing to a Democrat upstart in Texas?!? What a loser Cruz has to be that he's on the verge of blowing it.

Why is it so hard to get a straight answer on this board? If you're going to dodge the question don't bother posting.

He will be 48, older than Obama and Clinton. He would have had more experience in congress than Obama or Clinton.

There is not a single politician in America that has campaigned harder than this guy. Just look at his twitter.

Lincoln lost his senate vote too.

You don't worry buddy. Texas will retain its sexiest senator of the U.S. Mr. Ted Cruz. The guy really looks out for the downtrodden. He is wonderful in every way imaginable.

Breaking records spending money just to get within 7 points isn't that impressive though, wouldn't you agree?

So far in Montgomery County, early voting (as of yesterday) was on track to have more voters than the prior midterm turnout record set in 2014. That year, 115,932 voted in total. So far in early voting, 106,099 had voted as of yesterday. Should
Of course he did. Of course he supports the Nazi in Iowa.
