1. We still have a hangover from game 7 when the rockets shoot awful. 2. Switching defense is NOT WORKING ONLY Switch big to big or guard to guard NOT EVERYTHING. 3. Make the extra pass instead of shooting first. 4. Michael Crater Williams <Awful> Just Pitful
The off-season and training camp should have cured #1 #4 should be a much larger font besides being bolded.
No.1 really just isn't true at all, if anything if the roster remain unchanged the players would be so pissed that they couldn't get pass GSW because of 1. CP3 was hurt and 2. the shot wasn't falling and it was just not their night. To me that should fuel them not defuse them. 2. switching isn't as effective because you have new players who had never been good players in their own rights yet, 2 layers of problems here 3. We don't have the right player mix, again new players aren't meant to be good shooters 4. you nailed this one.
Here are switch flaws: Switch MCW to AD, Switch Capela to Payton Switch Melo to Randle whole game ......
The rockets are missing a experience big. Remember when capella sat down and nene came in they didn't miss s beat.
The rockets lost two key players and replaced them with value contracts...and those contracts have not remotely played at any value. Coupled with the other players at a lower level...gets you 1-5. We need better PF and C play. 2017 Paul Harden/Gordon Ariza/Green Tucker/Anderson/Moute Capela/Nene 2018 Paul/MCW Harden/Gordon Ennis/Green Tucker/Anthony Capela/Hartenstein
I don't think bringing the same team back minus ariza and luc would explain why we keep getting blown-out. There is something else wrong with this team that goes beyond the personnel. To lose the way they are losing is just shows a lack of heart or intensity or whatever you want to call it. They just aren't trying that hard as a team.
Melo is getting 31 mpg and being a huge negative on both ends while out there...u forgot to mention that OP
I agree with #2 ,how bout we also just not play mcw and carmelo completely after we get knight and ennis back ,also wat about starting clark at sf ennis off bench ,
Tucker and Ennis are poor rebounders. No 2nd chance boards negatively impacting offense. If Butler trade fails, Morey needs to target AGordon and JSimmons from Magic. How would ORL like 3-4 first rounders to go with EGordon, Hartenstein and Brandon Knight? CP3 - MCW Harden - Green Simmons - Ennis - Clark AGordon - Tucker - Melo Capela - Nene - Chriss
As a team we play as though we are entitled and because we made to the western conference finals other teams should just let us win. —> remember last year As players we play as though our teammates will do it for us because we are just that good —> remember last year The coach acts like it’s not me it’s the players. —> the system worked before I have done my job —> remember last year Remember last year when players were trying to get paid vs players that just got paid. True story: Our team got punched in the face and no one on our team really cared —> the other team’s captain is pulling our player away and acting like a big brother to our teammates. Remember last year when we had heart? Random thought: When the lottery gets really high do people that normally don’t play play? If one was to win the lottery would one play the next lottery with the same conviction knowing they are more than set for life? Is $180,000,000.00 over the next 4/5 years like winning the lottery? Answer these questions then think about Paul’s mindset because this is his reality. Yes he has been paid before but look at his age this is it for him. He is done no matter what happens from here he wins.
I agree, another thing as compared to last year is the rockets are missing size. Ariza 6'8, Moute 6'8, Anderson 6'10 who was hot early last year and Nene who Is not playing right now 6'11
