Anyone else salty as **** about the fact that teams like the Mavpricks were willing to roll out the red carpet so Golden State could pave the way for Durant, but now it seems like every possible roadblock is getting put up so the Rockets don't form their "superteam"? It's bullshit!
He struggled with his shot last year too but was always a spark off the bench, played with high energy, and drove to the basket when the shots weren't falling.
Butler playing it smart. Saying all the right things to not get fined, meanwhile misses just enough games to protect his health and disrupt chemistry which screws up their ability to get into a groove. Just ditch every 7-8th game. If they fine you, they fine you. They don't save significant money, you don't lose significant money, and they can't use you to win. Thibs is in severe conflict holding both positions while Taylor is senile. They have visualized Morey and Butler at a press conference laughing it up, then taking down the Warriors and lifting the trophy. Thibs can't bear it. What makes matters worse is KAT/Wiggins haven't stepped up to instill confidence about them carrying this thing when Butler is gone. If we come out of this with Butler for Gordon and 3 picks, we're gold for at least 4 years.
Definitely feels that way. The NBA will bend over backwards so GS can have allstars at every position. But every time the Rockets move in on a third star it's all these stupid obstacles. The league doesn't want us screwing up the Warriors storyline this season I guess smh
@Fyreball isn't wrong. I've been whining about if for months and months. the NBA will help GSW and Lebron only. When someone else tries to get a super team together nobody else is having it. WHEN WAS THE LAST TIME ROCKETS GOT THAT F-CKING THIRD TEAM TO COMPLETE A DEAL!? HUH!? WHEN!? see, now I'm mad.. Lebron traded 38 players to 148 teams foreign and domestic in one day to help him get to the Championship game which also facilitated his move to the LA.. The Suns gave Trevor Ariza 15 mil for no good gawd damn reason. The Clippers gave Luc a couple dollars just to get him out of Houston so he can get no playing time in LA. The NBA doesn't want the Rockets to succeed... #NEVERFORGET
There’s no conspiracy. Other nba owners get nothing out of holding the rockets back from getting a super team. The warriors just came together at the absolute perfect timing. Their original big all on small contracts and the cap spike just at the perfect time to fit a superstar and it so happened to be KD. Rockets had their part in that too when we got Dwight over them. Lebron just jumps to teams with ready made assets to trade for other superstars.
I'm pretty sure James Johnson was said to be close to a come back one/two weeks ago, now i just read Spoelstra saying there's no timetable for him...maybe Miami is willing to trade him with Richardson at this point...
Thibbs most likely would rather trade to an Eastern team, bla bla bla, I get all that. However, does anybody have any insight to when he left the Rockets to join the Celtics? Is there anything more there perhaps? Like more disdain for the Rockets. IIRC that was right around the time of the hand-off from Carol Dawson to Daryl Morey and Thibbs helped Boston defensively as they had just got Garnet. Just wondering if there is possibly some type of bad blood when Thibbs left the Rockets. Also, what is the thing with the Mavs helping Golden State get KD? Fill me in please!
We should calm down. I mean, no matter what happens today, Morey will make moves before the deadline. Even if the Rockets somehow manage to dig themselves out of this hole and look somewhat respectable, I just don't see management contempt with mediocrity... unless Tillman decides otherwise. Which is possible.
James Johnson does not solve Rockets need to improve perimeter D/upgrade wing spot or add 3rd star. Johnson plays same role as Tucker on Rockets, 4 and small ball 5.
