I kinda feel for Gordon but at the same time i hope he isn't letting this affect his play. To put it in perspective, he's outplayed his contract & the only reason he's being used as trade bait is because we can't pay him what he's worth. If he plays well somebody will pay him. It's not personal
It makes for a strong headline ... but "presumably" is caveated everywhere in Stein's actual quote. It's crystal clear that he is just stating an opinion based on how he would think about it if he were them.
I hope y’all are right. But if not... Where was this level of collusion when Dallas laid down to help GS get Durant?!
This argument already popped up in Stein's newsletter a week ago i think. @justtxyank posted it in this thread i think
I feel like if it was anywhere near close they would have said so. They could have easily completed the trade a while ago and actually finalized it when they're tradeable. I mean it happened when Melo got bought out for example.
Cod has said that even if we don’t get Butler we may help facilitate and pick up pieces. Also that we may go after another “near star level” player
My point is, I feel like y'all are waiting for nothing. I don't think just because that deadline passes they will trade him, I guess crazier things have happened though.
