OP also reported Paul was willing to take a discount, but would wait to see who we resigned, (ie, would want some say on who we spent his discount on). Hard to tell how accurate, as Ariza and Paul announced at the same time. And maybe there was no reasonable discount that would have helped retain Ariza, anyhow.

I feel confident that if Gordon is moved, Morey has exhausted ALL EFFORTS to find a 3rd team to send a player to Minny to satisfy Thibs, and just couldn't find something.

If you have to move Gordon to get Butler you do it. The Gordon loss will be felt. He is important. BUT, I am confident that Morey could replace the Gordon loss "easier" than finding away to obtain a Butler level "high ceiling" player.

Surprise, surprise Woj (who got the Rockets offer from the Sixers) recently came out and said maybe the Sixers are not out of it..... how convenient.

Is Miami going to now offer Richardson? A 25 year old averaging 20 points a game and under contract for 3 more years at $10,000,000 a season ..... who defends well; for a player in Butler that will be 30 when his MAX contract kicks in next season?
