With Trump intimating that the Synagogue should have been armed or had armed protection I could not help but wonder . . . . . Schools .. . . Religious Places . . . . .Theaters. . . . . . Is there any part of American Life that won't be militarized? Any part of American Life were one should NOT be Strapped? Are we becoming the Old West were every one has a strap on their hip and someone bumps you to hard. . . . 10 paces and DRAW!!!! Are we ok with that? Rocket River Sells more guns but does it help?
I think there might be a misconception about the old west. People didn’t just walk around everywhere with six shooters on their hips. That’s Hollywood stuff. From what I understand, generally speaking people did not do that and if you came into town, you had to surrender your firearms. That’s actually why the shootout at the OK Corral occured. Law enforcement was attempting to disarm some guys breaking the town ordinance with regards to disarming upon entering town.
See this is what im pointing out. We ignore the everyday stupid ghetto violence of the ghetto and then act like these mass shootings are the big problem of guns. They are no where equivalent and if gun control people wanna ignore ghetto violence then the gun rights people arent listening.

I don't think having armed security protecting targeted groups means that it's the wild west or that things are even militarized. It's just common sense to protect targeted groups with guns, we've been doing it since guns were a thing....and before that we protected targeted groups with the weapons of the day. You wouldn't call banks "militarized" for having armed security would you? I mean, it's obvious that they are a target, but these days it should be every bit as obvious that schools and religious buildings are also targets.
