That's an opinion poll which isn't even that damning. It just saying if race relations got worse or better...not that race relations are at it's lowest point in history which is what senator claimed
I'll tell you why I don't care and mainly ignored our whataboutism post. It was obviously an attempt at a joke. Therefore I don't really think much of it. Shows like Southpark, created by self-admitted conservatives, and shows like Family Guy make countless racist jokes. I don't really care. As long as the jokes aren't maliciously racist then it doesn't really bother me personally. It's really not all that offensive. There isn't much history to it. This is a basic 'race' joke that people will always say about others, that everyone from race group X look alike. People will say it about Asians, non-white people will say it about whites. It's whatever. This is actually a thing called the 'Cross-race' effect. Speaking of Family Guy, it even made this joke about it... Point being, the line she made doesn't really have a deep historical cut to it as Blackface does. Lastly, Megyn Kelley wasn't making a joke. She was trying to have a serious discussion and simply showed her ignorance. I will add, the Kimmel thing was better whataboutism. I think though...nah F___ Karl Malone and F____ the Utah Jazz.
No, I don't agree with that. It's a culture of bias with the cops - https://psmag.com/social-justice/black-cops-are-just-as-likely-as-whites-to-kill-black-suspects because of the stats. Cops aren't going to be on your side if you constantly demonize them. Blacks are more likely to be stopped - no one is saying they aren't. The stats back this rhetoric up. - https://www.nationalgeographic.com/magazine/2018/04/the-stop-race-police-traffic/ So why do black cops follow the same narrative as white cops if this is a racial issue? Because they encounter the violent crime stats on a daily basis. That affects their subconscious more than a new york times article. The point is, bring it down. way down. When violent crime numbers drop so that the majority aren't committed by African Americans, despite males being less than 1/10th of the population, attitudes and community biases will change. There's no way around it. That's a cultural shift that starts with living above the paranoia, however unjust it may seem. P.S. I don't care for the second amendment, it was written over 2 centuries ago when we lived in a different time. Needs to be amended to take out semi auto's and mod's, regulate heavily. Culturally, guns being a cool American thing should be a thing of the past. If your celebrity friends like Jay Z, Beyonce, Kanye, Soros etc. pitched in a few hundred mil, NRA lobbyists would be done and dusted.
Followed by Not going in circles with your prepared white boogie man statements. Hold yourself to higher standards. Dignity will naturally come when the stats go down. Rise above the paranoia, because you certainly have risen above the fear of being shot by a black man (statistically most likely to kill you). Will also result in integration and more opportunities for the have nots. But making it a zero sum game where you gotta use guns cause the police will kill you otherwise, or they're trying to put you in your place, is not worth it.
I've never been much of a comedian , sorry I cannot fulfill your entertainment quota. I'll throw in Keuchel's lack of control, minor league prospects, McIlroy's problem in the rough and driver speed, but I don't care about their opinions on foreign policy. Simply because they have 1/50th of the facts but much more of platform, I don't feel intimidated. Stats are very important to me but don't tell the whole story as you have pointed out. Still, the article has not brought anything new to the table that THIS STUDY and these stats already tell us. Cops profile black civilians in many cases based on narratives. Narratives that can only be built from their time in that community, which they work and live close to. So when a disproportionate number of those committing violent crimes and fatal violent crimes (over 50% in both cases) are African Americans, those probed will also be disproportionate. Cops aren't rocket scientists, they go based on what they see. The main point is, the only point is... these stats have to come down. Huge cultural shfits need to take place, where it becomes obvious alpha gun behavior hurts the community... it's not protecting anyone. Not signifying anyone is an alpha. Not being more of a man than the guy without a gun. Why does every major rapper talk about the same thing to become popular? Right now, it doesn't matter what the white guy in the same position is doing or if he's getting frisked. Forget about him. It only matters that these perceptions and biases go away to ensure a better life for everyone, that solutions come about without guns. Men are stereotyped by police. Why shouldn't they be? Females are in high demand by gangs, terrorists, criminal organizations for this very reason... but men will always be the problem due to toxic aspects of masculinity. Do you think gang activity in southside Chicago affects the habits of black and white cops in Georgia? In Florida? Sometimes refs blow calls that ruin games. Sometimes players get injured. So what do championship rings really mean? What do they tell us when refs influence games so often?
Are you telling me if anybody on the right made a comment like that that you would not be offended or at least act offended and use it once again for political gain? I don’t believe it. The fake news would cancel programming and have special panels of snowflakes discussing how racist this was if it was Trump. You guys would have a thread and going apeshit over it. ^ how about that one with bubba, does that offend you?
What are you taking about? What white boogie man? You are drinking something crazy You need to stop attacking the left with the false White hate narrative. It's simply not true. Let go of that and grow as a human being. You got hate in your heart for black people and you don't want to admit it so you hide behind this story that black people are more violent and is because they blame white people for their problems and they just need money and everything will be fine? Wtf you make no sense
Oops. Mick Fry got fooled. We should all be careful with all of the fake news trying to spread divisive crap out there.
You're ignoring again that black people are wrongfully convicted much more than any other race once again. Your stats account for WRONGFUL Convictions. Therefore, these stats would come down. You're wrong here, before you speak of something actually know about it boss. Kanye West became popular doing the opposite thing. So has Common. So has Chance The Rapper. So have many other rappers. Lauryn Hill for example. It seems you know little or next to nothing about rap. Because this little thing called the constitution? Fourth amendment buddy. "The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized." I have no idea. I know that they should not and with how often people are wrongfully convicted it makes sense then that more black people are in jail if more black people are suspected of being criminals in the first place. So it's a cycle that needs to stop. You seem to be the only one here that thinks it's okay if a cop stops someone merely because of their race. That hey, if a black guy kills another in Chicago then ALL black men should be suspected of being murders. This is quite frankly non-sense logic. We should also suspect all white men to be capable of shooting up places. Didn't you just make a clear distinction between entertainment and important issues? A Ref missing a call in a big game is no equivalent to someone being wrongfully convicted.
You know it's not so hard. If it's something that someone on twitter and facebook is posting and NO WHERE else than it's likely fake news. It's likely fake news if it's too good to be true. I mean just look at the picture too. The face shape looks like Clinton TODAY not young Clinton. I know a lot of people on both sides they get fooled by photoshopped or fake pictures. Like there was one going around on facebook of Tebow kneeling in protest to the anthem...didn't happen. Someone just took a photo of Tebow kneeling...you know, as he used to do a lot of...then captioned it that he was doing it in protest of the anthem and conservatives were ignoring it. Again, the story was too good to be true, so instantly my fake news radar went off...along with me being a sports fan and knowing that Tebow always took a knee throughout games.
Not so fast there homie. https://hubpages.com/politics/Hillary-Clinton-Might-Have-Dressed-in-Blackface
What? Are you buying that? The article trying to debunk the debunking is silly. The picture of Hillary's teeth give more evidence to the actual debunking despite the that hubpages is trying to make with the pic. 30% of the population has attached earlobes. That doesn't prove it's Bill Clinton. What a silly premise.
I'm not cool with that or a lot of things about Hillary. What does that have to do with Kelly's blackface? How do you feel about whataboutism?
Cant have it both ways. Crying over the littlest crap while overlooking the obvious is not a good look but I guess whatever works for your agenda.
LOL! Except that I found her answer was troubling. I wasn't overlooking anything. Furthermore, I said Megan Kelly's problem was about a 3 or 4 on the scale, that's not really making a big deal over something. Also, you do understand that Clinton's was mocking the racist comment rather than actually using the racist comment itself. But even still it was the wrong move for her to do in a public forum.
