There was never any this year. They need a running game first. And this is the first time in Texans history to have a legit true franchise QB. Every year before is meaningless. With him we will have a chance for the next 10-15 years. Keeping our assets is the right move. Its so early still. The weapons are already in place minus a RB. Fuller is coming back. A year from now when he is back we will be glad we did. Use the assets in the offseason to take the next step with our brand new franchise QB. And magically obtaining a legit Fuller replacement in the middle of the season is not easy in the first place, no matter how hard you try. Who exactly and for what exactly and for what true outcome?
No way. That's way too much for a 32 year old rental. I'd rather get free agents like Terrell pryor or dez Bryant. Don't sacrifice draft picks for an 8 game replacement.
Not if you get your quarterback killed this year because you think you can waste a year in the NFL Hell naw! 9-7 teams have sneaked their way in the playoffs and won super bowls many times. That's what we need to do... just get into the playoffs with Watson and get as much as we can get around him now. Watson needs playoff experience anyway. Saying wait till next year is stupid tomorrow isn't promised we must live today!
I think it’s time to stop investing so much into glass players. We’ve already sunk a first into fuller, quit expecting him to make a whole season. Go get a wr who can stay healthy, my goodness. Coutee, Ellington too. I’m over it. A 4th for desean Jackson?! Why the hell not.
Texans have the cap space to take on DeSean Jackson. Ideally I would like go see them give up no higher than a 5th round pick for him, but what better way to fill Fullers absence than the guy he was compared to coming out. Hope I see rumors of the Texans interest soon
According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, Pierre Garcon has drawn interest from "multiple teams" ahead of Tuesday's trade deadline. Per Schefter, at least three teams have reached out to the 49ers about acquiring Garcon and San Francisco seems willing to listen. The Niners have no hopes of reaching the postseason this year and would likely be amenable to moving Garcon if they could get a draft pick for him. The 32-year-old, who is currently out with a knee injury, hasn't scored a touchdown since 2016. According to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, DeSean Jackson has asked to be traded. D-Jax wants out of Tampa Bay, though to this point, the Bucs have shown zero interest in trading their star wide receiver. Jackson got off to a booming start catching deep balls from Ryan Fitzpatrick early in the year, but his production has dropped off a cliff since Jameis Winston's return from suspension. Those two have never had much chemistry. Jackson's exorbitant salary—he's owed $11 million this season and will bring in another $10 million in 2019—could make him difficult to move. Regardless, D-Jax will be a name to follow ahead of Tuesday's 4 PM ET trade deadline.
