It’s not about that. It’s about knowing the issues and avoiding long lines. There always something happening in the first days of early voting, lots of mistakes, glitches. I don’t vote straight ticket because I research and bring a sample ballot with me.

If you vote for Republicans will it pick Beto for you or is it only one way?

Well, I would still wonder how apt the comparison is. A lot of European countries have fairly wealthy (which usually means healthy) populations, and they also have (by and large) homogenous populations (despite the migration stuff).

You mix in heterogeneity into the populace, your health costs are going to rise. And no, I don't believe saying this makes me "racist." Look at our own country. In the US, one type of ethnicity, a minority, tends to suffer from sickle cell anemia. Other examples could probably be provided.

Once your population goes heterogeneous (like the US), you are going to have to wildly different wealth and health outcomes. That is going to drive up health care costs, and increase the disparity of healthcare outcomes.

Hmmm, so I take from this you want a totally government run and managed health care system? You may perhaps keep costs low, but the quality is going to suffer tremendously, and waiting times increase drastically.

I recognize that there are problems with healthcare insurance. I'm not sure the solution is getting rid of it, if that's what you're saying.

I saw a car with a couple of bumper stickers yesterday. One said "Don't move here." The other said "Welcome to Texas. Now git."

Oh, and they also had the "Come and take it" sticker.

There's no doubt Francis is thrilled about the attempted bomber and the shooter today, it might give his campaign some life.....that said, it's funny that he's asking for more money and pretending that he doesn't have the funds....he's got something like 22 million cash on hand and only 2 weeks till the election....seems he's desperate to get more funding for his presidential bid in a few years and feels free fooling people into thinking they are donating for his senate bid. Just the kind of "honest" candidate you'd expect from the jackass party.

you are in no position to call anybody or anything a jackass. You are objectively the biggest loser on this forum. People don't respond to your posts because they actually feel sorry for you and your condition.

Do we know how widespread this is? How is this possible? If folks really know that the machines are malfunctioning (setting aside for the moment intent), how can there be no authority to fix the problem and try to determine how many false votes were created?

This is literally one of the biggest scandals I can remember. What kind of democracy are we running where this kind of thing not only happens but is allowed to happen without any attempt to fix the problem.

So the idea that people's votes are being changed without their knowledge or intent has been shown to be accurate. What a travesty.

I feel bad for everyone involved in either situation more so the shooting because people actually died but here you are just using it to make invalid points. The morals in the country over the past 20 years have gone to ****ing hell.

No, that's not actually true, but that's what the media would have you believe....so it's no surprise that you are here parroting those talking points. If anything the country has become far more moral over the last 20 years...which is evidenced by the fact that we currently have some of the lowest murder rates since the 60's.....which are some of the lowest murder rates in the last 100 years.

Is that because you didn't understand it or because you did understand it and are merely upset that someone legitimately criticized your boy Francis? Honestly I wouldn't be surprised with either answer.

I think neighbors up north have similar diversity yet their costs are a lot lower. So that throws out your theory
