Don't worry, there's going to be a whole trial and everything. And it will be a total media circus too. Every detail will be examined to death. Agree that he must be the dumbest person on the planet, and not at all a rational actor. The difference is that it was pretty obvious to most people from the get-go that Occam's Razor would dictate that the bomber was going to be a dumb crazy person, and that the conspiracy theories about false flags were far-fetched at best. Everyone having hunches that this was some elaborate ruse should do some self-reflection and ask themselves why they wanted to speculate on the complicated and unlikely answer instead of conceding the obvious answer was likely the correct one.
After so many false allegations in the Kavanaugh thing, I just figured this was a different version of the same. A Republican doing this at this specific moment is the most counter productive thing they could have done.....but again, crazy plays by their own rules.

Michael Wolff in his book Stormy Daniels in her book Trump also has a huge ego so he won't just quit but from what it looks like he never really wanted to be President. The idea that he wants to become an authoritarian ruler is just crazy left wing stuff. I mean, you've got to be off your rocker if you think his ambition is to become dictator of the United States. It's totally implausible given the state of things.
Has made terroristic threats against judges? Was this man allowed to buy a gun? There's a guy I see all the time in Bellaire area that strikes me as similar to this guy. Has a bunch of Crooked Hillary stuff on his old beater truck (election was 2 years ago??) and just looks off his rocker.
All she said was she didn't believe he would want to be president and she thought him running was just a stunt, most people did at the time. Wolff is saying that it was just his belief, nothing more. Again, all of these were people that thought he didn't want to be president...and were proven wrong as he continued to campaign to do so and he put his own money in his own campaign to do it. This is like all the people close to Paul George saying that he wanted to go to LA and then he didn't. It's just people that knew Trump that thought it wasn't something he'd do...but now he's doing it and all signs point to him running again in 2020. So to me, this says Stormy, Wolff, Stern, were all wrong and didn't know Trump as well as they thought they did. The dude ran, he could have dropped out at any moment but instead did not. He even put his own money into his campaign.
I doubt any delusional dictator actually thinks of themselves as a dictator, but no I don't think he aspires to be a dictator in the traditional sense. All history, and Trumps own clear line of thinking leads one objectively to assume he is a narcissist who wants to be the biggest celebrity of all time. Where the transition to dictator autocrat is taking place doesn't have anything to do with the actual power, but the "star power" status that he sees someone like Putin have in his country. Same with Kim Jung. Trump's world is smaller than we realize. He is only thinking "why am I not worshiped and adored like Putin & Kim here in the US??" Trump believes he can charm anyone into his world though. That's where his brazen propagating come into play. He thinks if Robert Mueller gets in a room with him, he can charm him into dropping the case, and on the grand scale he believes that if he just keeps on telling the public "I'm great.... love me", they will eventually love him. Trump is not really that complex of a person. Everything is always about Trump all the time no matter how big or small the situation is. Can that level of narcissism turn into a dangerous dictator type of situation.... probably, but I don't believe he got into politics to be a murderous dictator.

I listed some obvious evidence from his behavior. Like you, I don't think he has some mastermind plot blah blah. I just think he obviously has strong autocratic tendencies, period. If some worry about that, okay. I am still less worried by his critics than I am his tendencies, given the power he wields. I also agree w you on him actually never thinking he would actually win. Not sure how important that is. But he's going to do what he can to win reelection, as per his fundraising records. But on topic, van dude is clearly very crazy and there's not a ton of political hay to be made. If cable news led him to this clumsy path w no injuries instead of a mass shooting, maybe that's okay.
