This doesn’t make a ton of sense to me.

Sure the Rockets might “suck” one year - hey it could be this year!!! But on paper, these aren’t going to be great picks. And 75% of them will be 3+ years down the road.

It’s not super attractive to me if I’m minny. I guess better than nothing

I'm thinking it sounds awesome to Glen Taylor, though.

I believe they can come to a verbal agreement now, but the trade would be consumated Oct. 31st. No way the Rockets are offering 4 1st rd picks AND Gordon. They likely gave the picks to keep Gordon and PJ. No sense in keeping your head barely above water. Either you drown or swim to win! Just ask Morey, he knows all about that.

We better hope nothing happens til the 31st, cause otherwise it means we’re giving up Gordon and Nene/Tucker for sure

Butler is only worth it if it gets us over the top. "Improving" the team is not enough to gamble the future and potentially miss out on the amazing 2019 FA class. So the question is...does the addition of Butler make us better than GS? I am not sure it does.

If this goes down, we will have the big 6 someone predicted:

    Harden
    CP3
    Buckets
    Gordon
    Capella
    Melo

We aren't beating the Warriors with Butler either.

If we are doubling down on picks, you have to think that both Gordon and Tucker are staying, and Knight is the guy going out.

    An 8 man rotation of
    Paul
    Harden
    Butler
    Gordon
    Tucker
    Capela
    Melo
    Green

    is pretty stout.

well then might as well stop trying. no need to have this site, lets just root for Texans unless the warriors are going to win the superbowl too?

That was @Codman. Not sure if those are the 6 he had in mind, but I'm guessing it's pretty close.

    Well, who knows.

Paul is older and could start declining bad next year.

Harden should be good but he's about to turn 30 (and is overweight).

The risk with Butler is he doesn't sign an extension with the Rockets.

There's some upside potential for Minnesota here, I don't see how another team can beat the offer unless they offer a lot of picks too or higher ones.
