Tbf the Nets traded for Garnett, Pierce and Terry when they were already washed up, pretty sure they were around 34/35 at the time, Butler is 29 like Harden, Paul is 33 like PJ, Gordon is 29, Capela 24...aside for possible protections on the picks, i say they would be different situations, that trade for the Nets made no sense whatsoever cause they traded for washed players in the first place.
I don't want to be a Cassandra but..our championship window even with Butler might not be as long as you think. Prime is a funny word with different durations. Some players with ton of mileage and pgs, tend to have shorter primes...
