We won two nba titles Jordan was there in 95 he lost to Shaq I’d go Michael Meyers on Rockets fans who think any less of the championships
Not Keeping 1st Round Picks, Constantly trading away 1st Round Picks, leaves us with Journeyman throughout the Roster, Fringe NBA Players waiting to be cut. I like the Lakers Roster more than the Rockets, Kyle Kuzma, Josh Hart especially those were 2 late 1st Round Picks, if not for the Chris Paul Trade. The Chris Paul trade felt unnecessary, Chris Paul became Selfish wanting a Huge Max Contract, Giving up on Montrezl Harrell and Patrick Beverley. Chris should've opted out signed straight up. Rockets still need a Backup Point Guard and a Center still. Selecting 40th every year is bound to mess up the Talent Level Gap, Rockets Constantly Relying on Older Players that are washed up or Late 2nd Rounders that are not playable in the Rotation. Daryl needs to keep his picks and add on during Free Agency. Brandon Knight is a expiring contract, showcase him and trade him for a late 1st Rounder. Same with Marquesse Chriss just play them and trade them.
If you guys want to give up on the Rockets Please do so and stop making threads on the GARM If you think the harden era is cursed you must think getting the flu is worse than getting Ebola
Nah. Just a badly constructed roster. Harden though is not a #1 guy for the playoffs. The closest we got (we will get?) was last year. But Harden could not put this team on his back when it most counts. Last year it depended on Paul's health. With this roster, I don't know if having Paul and Harden would be enough.
Go Mike Meyers on yourself for not acknowledging the Astros championship. Unpure 99er doesn't mention anything outside of basketball. Tinman = Semi-Houston Fan LMAO
I agree with this. Especially with how deep the Warriors and now the Celtics are. To compete with the elite teams, you need a 8-10 quality players that give you flexibility. Rockets really don't have that at all. They sort of got lucky last year, that every piece worked out and no one was out when it really mattered until Paul's injury in WCF. I still feel this comes never doing a true rebuild. It forced Morey to have to use all the assets that panned out into anything as pieces for the trades that landed the stars like Harden and then Paul. Unless you can keep finding diamonds in the rough, that plan will have droughts. Plus now other teams seem be wary of dealing with Morey now.
Losing doesnt bother me as much as how we lose... Over the years we've had a lot of mediocre teams... but as long as we make the best decisions from the options we have, the guys play hard and it's truly a team effort... I enjoy cheering our guys on - win, lose or draw... but when we make poor decisions based on stubbornness or ego... guys aren't trying their hardest in all facets of the game (incl defense)... or guys just don't seem to truly embrace the team over individual dynamic... it really bums me out... jus sayin... hopefully we right the ship soon and get a more consistent effort... and get some contributions from the DNP crowd...
Harden was rarely injured but that was about to happen. The timing is just bad. Hammy injury - could be days or 1-2 weeks.
I am more worried about MDA than the players tbh. Surely the players are out there but I am afraid that MDA is going to break at some point when nothing positive happens. Chris Paul has to keep this group together and avoid injury.
I honestly believe they should tank this season, Especially if Harden is out, 1,2 weeks, Chris Paul gets injured again then what. Clint Capela won't improve his shooting. Eric Gordon, Brandon Knight, Marquesse Chriss all have value to get picks need to play them than trade them. Just barely making the playoffs, with the same roster after the deadline, without trading for picks, will mess up next season also. Rockets need Extra 1st Rd picks, hopefully becomes a Rotation player. Warriors, Celtics, Lakers, Jazz, Mavericks, Suns, all have a brighter Future. Rockets are plugging holes on a boat, band aid journeyman. Rockets need younger talent whether Mike DAntoni or Daryl Morey, like it or not.
