my take from what hes been posting is that if the rockets had a lesser center such as mcgee, who plays what like 10-15 mins a game on a good day. They could just use a lesser guy like him and play those minutes at the 5 while the rest of the time (~38+ mins), play small ball with a bunch of wings since Hou doesn't have a AD type at the 5. And that Hou would be just as good basically what he's talking about is doing exactly what the lakers are doing as far as their rotation, when mcgee isn't on the floor during his limited minutes
I don't think that Tucker and Gordon get the deal done right now. I haven't heard this from anyone but it seems that Thibs is content to let Butler keep playing. As for Tucker, I really like him but he is 33 years old, he doesn't shoot the ball well.
Have you heard anything on Butler or anyone else being moved. I know it is early in the season but it has been very quiet.
Au Contraire, Tucker does shoot the ball well, I would say he is shooting it very well. High percentage PLUS hes doing it consistently, PLUS hes shooting well in the clutch...AND there are no huge oscillations with Tucker like with EGO for example from week to week or month to month.
Uhhh...alright, I mean i really dont think small ball is supposed to be used like for a whole game but that just my opinion.
No I don’t. Capela is better than McGee. But Ariza and Luc are way better than MCW and Ennis. So I may have traded Capela this summer to retain more important pieces to the team. Since he was one of our few players with actual trade value.
I am actually not totally against trading Tucker. I just think that using our current bad defense as the reason to dismiss his value is absurd. If anything, he is more important now because our defense seems to be falling apart due to losing good defenders like Ariza. See my other post. I am okay to trade for Butler with EITHER Gordon OR Tucker but not both.
You think a player hits his peak after 4 seasons? I think Clint will hit his prime within the next 2-3 years.
I don't care how good the organization thinks Tucker is. You can't let any role player get in the way of acquiring a clear all-star player. Gordon and Tucker tonight so far 4-22 combined, 1-14 from distance.
change needs to be made Morey!! we ain't winning anything with current roster! pick up the phone asap!
we should definitely do this deal, but i really dont believe minny ever was going to deal him to the rockets. the rockets dont have enough to offer anyway at this point. gordon is too inconsistent. tucker is 33.
