Surprised no one has suggested Russian operatives and I’m dead serious. Look at the timing and the effect it has had so far.
You are correct. Have the bombs been confirmed as legit? Did any of them hit their mark? This lunatic is either terrible at what he does or it accomplished exactly what was intended.
Yes, a false flag conspiracy theory. Leave it to a morally bankrupt hypocrite Trumpanzee. What else is new.
The Onion: Schumer Glad he hasn't taken strong enough stand on anything to merit assassination attempt. Hahaha! Sorry, I know these aren't funny times.
Well, er, um... 1. They kind of like having Two Scoops in power. 2. If they wanted to off the people on this list (very doubtful), they would have much better means. Poisons, radioactive substances, sonic attacks, and so on. 3. That leaves the idea that they wanted to place a false domestic-looking attack to sow chaos? I don't buy it. There's more chaos already than they ever could have bargained for. So, I'm less surprised that people aren't suggesting the Russians at this point.
If Dems win big in midterms, this will be a little interesting as the Democrats who were upset about events leading up to the 2016 election will be in the other seat, as will the Republicans who dismissed it all as sour grapes. I predict each will act exactly as the other did. (WaPo)The instant, inevitable cries of ‘false flag’ after bomb threats targeting the Clintons, Obamas and CNN Amusing that the most popular hashtag for this appears to be #MAGAbomber.
I agree with you. If a foreign power is behind this (and I don't think one is), it's far more likely to be the Chinese, as No Worries suggested. Mr. trump's insane trade war is hurting them badly. It also hurting us badly, which will become obvious over time, should it continue during the next 2 years. Inflation is going to shoot up, causing interest rates to soar, and jobs are going to be lost in the United States. Lots of jobs. The goofus in charge has his supporters thinking that that won't happen, "...just look at the economy!" What they don't understand is that the true impact of trump's madness will take time to filter down through our economy. Some industries are being hit hard already. Look at US farmers who grow soy beans, a major US agricultural export, with China one of our biggest customers. They are screaming bloody murder right now, but no one is listening, certainly not in the White House.
Well, China doesn't normally act anything like this. This is very clumsy. Sometimes the obvious answer is the correct answer: this is probably a mentally ill person, an American, who watches way too much fringe "news" or listens to Alex Jones or downloads PETA podcasts or god-knows-what. (Oh, and to be clear, I mean a person fitting that description who is not POTUS.) Either that or... Bernie Sanders.
Man seeing these types of things make you miss when there was a real respectable president in office not one the current one he has not spoken about peace at all.
First, I don't believe this, and I kinda think I shouldn't be throwing it out there, but what the hell... The dismissal of Russia assumes that they actually like Trump, and really care about him winning and view him as "their agent" doing their bidding. More likely, IMO, they view Trump as an agent of discord. They are happy to support him so long as he furthers their agenda of fomenting internal discord in the USA, but will be happy to discard him and find a replacement as soon as it becomes more convenient. In this scenario, Trump is basically Russia's "patsy". He thinks he and Putin are buddies, but Putin is, in fact, using him to sew discord. In that scenario, from Russia's point of view, this is pretty awesome. This is already shaping up to be one of the most divisive events that I can remember, with two completely different narratives where each side puts the blame on the other side. This is a big step in that direction. Especially in the case of Democrat gains significant enough to weaken the president but not enough to deter him. Doubly so if the FBI is unable to locate a culprit. It'd just be more salt in the wound. Anybody remember the Kremlin and KGB connected political scientists who has been predicting civil war in the us for like the last 20 years? What if that wasn't a prediction, but rather a mission statement for the Russian government? That right there would be my conspiracy theory. I don't believe it, but I find it more consistent than the other conspiracy theories I see. I will say this, if they don't find a culprit they'd better make one up to pin it on. Otherwise this will splinter into a million different conspiracy theories in what passes these days for political discourse.
This seems to be the likely answer. This stunt seems more like some idiot statement, but it seems a lose-lose for both sides...Republicans can condemn it and/or claim some goofy liberal reverse conspiracy or the Liberals can point to how crazy/bloodthirsty the far right has gone under Trump. Just dumbassry all around. Such mail time amateur hour couldn't possibly believe this would work. Like I said before, either way the person/people that sent these are full blown weirdos.
What? You are dismissing someone trying to bomb innocent people? What the hell is wrong with you? Conservative/Trump supporters - police your own. People on the left weren't being dismissive when Republican softball players were attacked.
It seems the Kavanuagh debacle has not taught the unhinged a lesson. If the bombs we’re delivered to all these high profile Dems then it has to be a right winged lunatic, evidence be damned! Regardless this is a single lunatic versus or associated with the MOB.
