I thought he was as well. We've exchanged posts before down here and he seemed fairly reasonable, putting aside the huge differences we have politically. I don't have a problem with folks holding a different opinion than I do. Heck, I play trivia here in Austin every week, and will be playing tonight, and our 4 member team is divided evenly between two conservative Republicans, both having voted for trump, as well as a Rice grad who's a liberal Democrat, which is what I am. We get along famously. We've been playing together for a decade, in fact, and we simply don't talk about politics. There's no reason people with different political views can't get along, or become very good friends, which would describe my trivia team (which is really, really good, btw). Where I lose my good opinion of someone is when they are dishonest (or worse - I wouldn't put cml in the "or worse" category just yet), which is what cml is doing with this incident. He's being dishonest. He's accusing "the Left," whatever that is - I guess it's supposed to include people like me, a Vietnam War protester in the late '60's and the early '70's (you could say I've been around the block a time or two), of doing this to damage the far-right GOP before the midterms. He's proving himself to be a conspiracy theory nut, which is a shame. That's based on no proof, as in zero, and is merely repeating what he obviously read somewhere at one or more disreputable far-right political sites online. He claims to be waiting for proof, but he's already made up his mind, until proven otherwise. It's perfectly obvious. What a world. Read my post above in response to Donny, cml. You should be ashamed of yourself. Every sane person wants whoever is responsible for this to be caught and put behind bars for a very, very long time, regardless of their politics. Yet you are pushing a conspiracy theory immediately. You can place whatever caveat or excuse on it that pleases you, but that's what you're doing. You are being a conspiracy nut and a dishonest one, and you ought to think about what led you there, why you are reacting this way. It's making you look pretty bad, in my humble opinion.
