Only having 3 games as a starter for us certainly hasn't stopped people from deciding that he shouldn't be starting. Ennis' career 3pt pct. Is over 36%, which is higher than Ariza's career pct and higher than what Ariza averaged over the last 4 years with the Rockets. Yet people are saying that we are missing Ariz's shooting. In the Rockets offense, Ennis will get more open threes than he ever has. He shot 58.3% on 3s in the preseason and so far in the regular season he's shooting just under 43%. How can someone conclude that he cant shoot?
Looks like he is already out with an injury. His spare PT is not noteworthy enough. He can only surprise. That is my conclusion for now. Look, if you are his supporter, that's okay, we just leave it at that.
We are trying to give both MCW and Green time at SF. That's what's limiting Ennis' minutes. Ennis hasn't had more than 4 fouls in a game. It's not like he's disqualified with 4 fouls. He could play more minutes. If you look at Ennis' minutes and fouls, at his rate so far, he would be over 35 minutes before fouling out.
ariza isnt looking so hot on the suns either. shooting 35% overall, 33% from 3. 8.8 PER this is his 14th season in the NBA. lets give ennis and the team some more time before we start pining over what we had last year.
Not really a supporter, I just hate when people make sweeping judgements with no basis in fact. If you simply read this board, you'd think that he was getting lit up for a ton of points and couldn't hit any shots. Likewise, you'd come away with the impression that Ariza was some elite shooter. Those things simply arent true. That's my point. If it were up to me, I'd be trying to get Jimmy Butler if it's at all possible. Then you send Ennis to the bench.
