It is already too close to the midterms. Whatever the results he'd report, it'd move the election. Especially after the trouble Comey caused, he needs to wait for the election to happen. After that, he won't have much time. Trump may move quickly to can Sessions and Rosenstein. Mueller's avenue for reaching Congress could be blocked if he doesn't move first.

If the results were bad for Trump, Mueller would want to release them before the election.

    Nonsense.

Manafort is cooperating right now, which is going to lead to charges on somebody major.

If Mueller was biased that would be leaked.

    Its not, he's not.

Why? And get accused of timing it/ releasing it to impact the midterms? Doubtful.

You seem to be assuming something about Mueller's character or motivations on which I cannot agree. I do not think he wants to be implicated in moving the fortunes of political parties, or even any appearance of possible impropriety. He could let some cherry-picked and prejudicial factoids (you can make the tidbits look bad even when the whole picture is benign) start leaking from his investigation to make Trump look bad and put Republican candidates in uncomfortable positions, but I don't see that that's happening.

I think we both know that. He was out to get revenge for his friend Comey, if there was anything he could do to hurt Trump, he would.

But that's the only way that the "team" of Commodore's can contrive a world view where 45 is some sort of innocent victim.

If Mueller is basically a decent, competent person (and a conservative plus a decorated veteran to boot), then people might just have to respect whatever he and his team uncover as having some sort of validity.

For Team 45, everyone and anyone but 45 can be excoriated as a biased deep-state operative with some sort of malevolence, if they dare do or say something that might oppose or even detract from 45. It's pretty incredible but it has a lot of scary historical precedent. Humans gonna human.

I think we all know that you made up a motivation with no evidence whatsoever and aren't particularly worried about facts, evidence, etc.

It's a fact that they were close, it's a fact that he's assembled a team of biased individuals seeking to go after Trump for political reasons. The only reason you'd do that is if you weren't interested in the truth and you just wanted to try and find something to attack the guy who fired your friend.

Of course the fact that I can even say that is reason for him to step down if he had any sense of ethics or be fired if he doesn't.

Either way though, despite his best efforts, he struck out and ended up with nothing.

The only thing that is a fact is that they were friends. It is not a fact that he assembled a team of biased individuals seeking to go after Trump for political reasons. He removed any agents that showed even an appearance of bias. There has been no sign of bias from the investigation. It has been handled with professionalism from the get-go and you have provided no evidence to the contrary.

LOL wow, the fact that you could even type that out is plenty evidence that you are too far gone for this conversation. I could see someone saying this way before all of the obvious signs of bias among those conducting the investigation became public but saying that now? LOL yikes.

This investigation lost all credibility LONG ago.

I've said I'd accept his results many times, Granville. My long opinion was that Two Scoops is actually pretty innocent but people around him got waaaay too cozy with Russian operatives and welcomed the now-documented Russian hack. I expect Mueller to exonerate Two Scoops on the collusion matter but provide ample evidence of obstruction (the evidence has piled up publicly on twitter alone -- I mean, come on), and then have some more high-level charges/ guilty pleas on the Russia matter from high-level advisors/confidantes, including potentially one of the kids.

But yeah, let's say Mueller comes out tomorrow with "I'm done and everything relevant I've found has already resulted in a conviction or guilty plea," then yeah, if Mueller wasn't fired or something, I'll accept that. Period.

    (1) I'm not sure why you put me in a "herd" (other than your convenience or team-based outlook and to be snide). I'm again, by the way, going to vote against Nancy Pelosi. Anyway, I don't put you in a herd and you don't deserve it like some of the pathetic bots around here.

    (2) I'll give collusion a rest if there's no collusion, but I won't give Two Scoops a rest. There's a ton of smoke and maybe no fire. Every American, I think, should be concerned about an unprecedented number of cabinet members and close advisors of a POTUS who've already been demonstrated to be felons. That's not okay. That's not normal. People should question why a POTUS would be connected to so many shady characters and they should question why he lies, every damned day, like clockwork -- that's independent of Mueller, so no, I guess I won't "give it a rest" until we learn why the POTUS surrounded himself with felons and then lied about it constantly and lies about everything else (objectively) constantly. Making **** up is bad in 3rd grader's presentation. I fail people in college when they do that. It's simply not acceptable at any level (to me) in an elected executive.

    Cheers!

His probe ultimately uncovered and in part led to the fact that Trump is now an un-indicted co-conspirator to two crimes.

I don’t really know how much further the goal posts can be moved. If you would have told me two years ago there would be an email release by Don Freaking Jr that says “if it’s what you say it is... I love it” regarding help from the Russian Governent, I’d tell you you are crazy, but the Trump campaign really was that stupid and brazen.

The only thing that’s left to prove is if Trump really can retain your support if he murders someone in broad daylight on 5th Avenue. Sounds like from people like you that he can.

Seriously ... what would you say if Trump grabbed a gun on Fox and Friends and shot Nancy Pelosi on live TV? What would you say? What better way to “own the libs.. amirite??”

Shouldn't be that hard to imagine. Just remember the 8 years you spent freaking out every day about a Muslim Communist from Kenya.
