That’s not really the question or the commentary about Trump and Anti-Semitism.

The question is......Is it okay to not personally be an anti-Semite while you are the single largest figurehead to the anti-Semitic base of Americans?

If you traffic in it for poltical gain (even with a minority of his voters) what difference does it make? He didn’t have to stand up for Nazis shouting “Jews will not replace us”, but he did. He still could have maintained the vast majority of his electorate and maybe gained some independents but he didn’t do that... why was keeping that fringe group loyal to him that important?
