i don't understand where did all of our short crossing routes go? Last year we ran them a lot. It gives me a headache watching all these teams' receivers running wide open across the field in those rub routes. The ball travels 6 yards and the receivers takes it another 8.
Perhaps you are right about the recency bias but until I see the ball start to move again it's hard to assume that'll happen. There's no question that the injuries are playing a factor in Watson's decreased performance but when is he going to be healthy? He keeps taking hard hits every game.
You see them once or twice every game and they are almost always successful, BOB just doesn't like them.
He might not be healthy the rest of the year. Whats key is seeing progress in his pocket passing. Multiple times yesterday he sat in that pocket and went through all his receivers and either completed the pass or didnt. What we don't want to see is what Josh Allen was doing against the Texans. One read and run. Watson has gotten more accurate this year. They just need to get him healthy and the OL needs some form of consistent play and you will see more of what you saw last year.
Well then that's what I was saying, if he's potentially not going to be healthy the rest of the year his performances while hurt are more relevant than those before he was hurt where he was throwing for 300+ yards a game.
One big aspect that you shouldn't ignore is he is not a threat to run right now. When defenses fear him taking off on foot, they'll have to ease up on the coverage and/or the rush.
Kerryon Johnson ran all over the Dolphins Sunday. Hopefully we can keep the run game going, keep DW upright and handle business and rest up before we travel to Denver. Sounds simple enough
Yeah. You could potentially open up an immediate superbowl window adding Peterson. I have faith the offense will figure it out. Shutting down one side of the field and getting more coverage sacks would be fun with this DL.
So if Brock continues to play well in Miami, does it mean he wasn't coached well in Houston or was in a system that didn't fit? If Brock goes for 300+, 3+TD, and wins the game; the "Fire O'Brien" thread is going to be LIT! lol
You can tell Clowney loves football and competition. I think its funny that some think he is only playing for a contract.
Well Brock played better in Denver than here so I would expect him to play better in Miami than here too. BOB really is that bad of a coach.
