fartenstein's r****d turnover ends up being the difference in the game

 

All 5 starters were positive + this game.

Whole bench was a -ve plus minus. Each player on the bench was net negative starting with Carmelo at -18 and MCW at -15.

I could count atleast 4 plays where Carmelo cost us a bucket. Twice didnt hustle for rebound, once Harris took ball right from his hand and of course bone headed Hartenstein throwing ball back to contested tucker when gordon was open.

These 4-5 plays each games and turn overs will cost us atleast 10 games. I dont think we win more than 53 games on route to 6th or 7th seed unless there is a drastic trade to improve team.

If CP3 plays 55 games and we win 70% then thats about 38 games. IF we go 50% in remaining games without paul then thats another 13 games so about 51-53 games per season is the max.

We havent fixed any problems from last year. Against GSW we needed better volume shooters and creaters when Paul was out.

1) We have lost Ariza and Luc and no one to replace. Ennis does not count.
2) We do not have someone who can create after Harden when Paul goes out. Carmelo really seems overpaid for minimum pay if thats possible.
3) We do not have any one who is better than 39% shooter from distance playing on the wing.
4) We do not have wings that rebound. Highest rebounder today were Carmelo and Capela tied at 6

Even with all that we had a chance but MDA screwed it all up with a time out and a last play with nothing.

Lets get ready for a long season full of chemistry problems. It cant get much worse. I am trying not to panic but if they let it go on, it wont get any better. They will beat some sub 500 teams but will struggle heavily against decent teams.

 

Rockets don’t even have the basic fundamentals down of boxing out for rebounds, and it doesn’t help that MDA loves playing small ball.

 

No rim protection...thats on capela, dude took his 80 mill and is straight chilling so far

 

Butler isn't going to fix the problems. We have a **** bench and no defense.

 

If u guys think the season is over u guys are idiots lmao. Fact alot of teams in the west will struggle this year. Cause all the teams are good. Not worried. Need more size/rebounding, more 3s n cp3 back lol

 

Rox played 3 games and the season is over already with these whiney b****es that are either spoiled millennials or those old school cry babies that wanted hakeem traded in 92 lol gtfo

 

When you have someone out for a game either by suspension or injury, the team has to step up...and that means possibly playing more minutes...I'm only talking two extra minutes for a game or two by Harden. The team needed his leadership and ball handling.

Small ball and switching our bigs to be at the three point line forcing the likes of EG and Melo to fend off tanks like Harrel for the board.

 

Yea we lost defensive personnel and ended up with worse talent, you need talent to win. Its not Mike's fault. Our defensive guy quit on us and its up to Morey to find a new one. Mike is doing the best he can with what he has, you calling him a mediocre coach three games in to this season is totally unfounded and baseless.

Nah. We just have expections from last season that this team could possibly beat the Warriors.

This team can win 50 games. That isn't the type of season we we're expecting coming from last season.

 

Folks saying the Warriors are good clearly aren’t watching the warriors this year. Fret not, warriors fan forums are also freaking out because of their bench play.

Rockets will be fine. We have a lot to adjust to.

 

I am kind of wondering if the rumors about Butler is messing with team chemistry

That said, I am kind of wondering if the trade rumors regarding Butler is having an effect on chemistry? Hard to feel comfortable when things are in flux....

Idk about you guys I’ve been watching the rockets for a long time, but I’m with the other poster. This is one of the worst interior defensive teams the rockets have ever had.

I want your opinions, so far it seems like Capela has just fallen off a cliff in terms of his presence down low in changing the shot or affecting or is this just downgrading from guys like Ariza who were gritty helped us out with boards and guarding big Men, with guys who just don’t help like ennis,mcw, melo especially when the big is brought outside??

 

I know. Just a disaster.
