Nene has to be better than Hartenstein and Clark. He literally has to be.

 

Hopefully Chriss can come back and show us something, especially on defense and rebounding because we could really use that

 

He definitely won't commit the same rookie mistakes as those 2, but I wouldn't trust his old legs to be able to keep up with our switch everything defense

 

thats not how it works, we dont want to overwork Harden.

 

I will say this. Our offensive rebounding has got to improve. Not sure who can improve that on the roster but we teams are scoring almost always on second chance points.

There was a point in the 4th where the clippers grabbed 3 offensive rebounds consecutively. That’s an issue. And that was game.

 

This team is not on Golden States level. This is 15/16 all over again. When do pitchers and catchers report?

 

Amazing nuance. Do you want to rebut the actual empirical evidence that we have the worst paint defense in the league? Or that nothing is special about our offensive system besides having to HOF pgs?

Every team knows how to spam threes. Other teams can actually implement off ball movement also.

This team takes the most difficult shots at a consistent basis.

Dantoni is no where near a offensive genius. He had a novel idea with the Suns which gave them the edge along with having an all-time great photo and actual competent 3 pt shooters.

So you see anything in our offensive system that is "genius like". Watching 4 players stand around with no off ball movement and spamming threes with great individual talent in Harden and Cp3?

Not only do we spam 3s, we don't have the roster to do so competently. We are relying on James freaking Ennis and PJ Tucker spamming threes.

He's done fine in the past. And usually they'd let him drop in the pick and roll. He's gotta be looking awful in practices.

Which team is on the warriors level?

 

Idk about you guys I’ve been watching the rockets for a long time, but I’m with the other poster. This is one of the worst interior defensive teams the rockets have ever had.

I want your opinions, so far it seems like Capela has just fallen off a cliff in terms of his presence down low in changing the shot or affecting or is this just downgrading from guys like Ariza who were gritty helped us out with boards and guarding big Men, with guys who just don’t help like ennis,mcw, melo especially when the big is brought outside??

How many pts in the paint have we given up? Can you also post the ranking for pts in the paint allowed for this team?

It just seems like a lot of the guys are slower, like they are out of shape. They cant stay in front of their man and the communication is awful on defense.

To me it just shows that these guys dont have that same chip on their shoulder.

Its early, for sure, but disappointing nonetheless.

 

one more game and we will get CP back...oh man winter blues hit me early this year...

3 games into the season and we haven’t played particularly well but keep that part about 3 games in mind. If things arent going well after 15 or so games concern may be warranted but for now just let things settle. We can be confident that Morey will make adjustments if need be...
