Yah they don’t look as good as last year for sure. I think losing coach bzdelik is going to hurt us.

They have nothing but net negatives off the bench excluding Gordon.

All I know is he better find a replacement for Bzdelick ASAP. Rockets look like they've never played defense in their life.

We focus too much energy on offense, and our small ball lineup gives up way too many points in the paint because they're not shot blockers.

Capela is misused. He sets picks but they pack the paint when he rolls. Unless we have a great shooter on the perimeter, high chance for a TO or missed rebound. Then opposing team scores easily on a fast break because Capela was on the losing end of the PnR.

We need easy pick-and-pop offense where Capela can get back on defense quickly enough when the offense fails. Either that or minimize misses or TOs.

Tldr, small ball lineups won't work against athletic 6-10 to 7-2 centers.

50 wins right now is generous . We only beat the lakers because they are as discombobulated as we are right now .

Paul and Harden can will us to wins . But each effort they have to give like that is draining a little from the tank and increasing the likelihood of injury .

Harden ran out of gas at the end of the game because we are on the tail of a B2B and he literally had to create everything .

Without Paul ... we are literally running the same ****ing offense as mchale just with a more efficient shot selection .

 

They’ll be lucky to win 50 at this rate. Zero effort on the boards which leads to so many 2nd Chance points. This team looks very bad currently, hopefully they pick up the slack but as of right now it looks like a 15-16 situation all over again.

I think a lack of Shooters, Creators, Athletic Rebounders on the Bench.
Gary Clark, Marquesse Chriss has to be in the Rotation, MCW, James Ennis, Carmelo are not even good
Brandon Knight can score but also plays bad defense so I've heard.

 

The Rockets look like a 7 seed if this rotation continues to play.

 

If they improve. The loss of the defensive coach (sorry, can't remember his name this late at night) has had a profound impact. They look lost on the defensive end. Ariza and Moute are missed. Carmelo looks washed up. Rockets need a fix and quick.

 

3rd game or 43rd game, doesn't matter when they don't look like they can guard anyone, and the offense isn't performing at an all time rate again either.

seem pretty average to me this year. 50 wins give or take. ariza, luc, and bzdelik were huge losses and ennis/carter don't come close to replacing them. we're just not the same team as last year.

 

Too much overreaction tonight. People have very short memory. Rockets, a team that won 65 games last season, also lost games early on while playing guys like Briante Weber huge minutes.

MCW, IH won't be in rotation by game 10. Relax!
