this guy is a mistake waiting to happen on the court. people here got fed up with lin, i think MCW will be even a few levels beyond that. he does not think the game through and read situations, but instead just drives into the paint every time like a headless chicken. i don't think he will be playable in the postseason or against the top teams during the first 82
When he stands at the 3 point line thinking to shoot or not, I believe the distance to the goal expands. One of his shots looked like he was a thousand yards away last night even though he was standing at the line.
I’m a fan of Morey, I think he is the best GM in the NBA; but even Morey can make a mistake here and there. Letting both Dragic and Kyle Lowry walk. Morey wanting to resign either or later, is an indication of regret (mistake). Letting Lin go in preseason (when I thought he looked good for the price)......he then went to Knicks for Lin-sanity. Wanting/re-signing Lin indicates regret (mistake). Lin at cheap was good.....Lin at high rate was no good (no lateral D). Royce White pick. Yes all mistakes some of us would have made.....but mistakes none the less. All teams want shooting from a small forward or shooting guard. I feel like Morey is trying too hard to show everyone he is a basketball genius. Playing MCW at wing is a “Ah Ha” thing. One has to recognize other coaches didn’t play MCW at SF/SG because of the little fact that he can’t shoot mid range or 3’s. Sometimes we can be too smart or too cute for our own good. Out kick your coverage. *MCW one strength is pushing tempo: but in preseason I saw him go 2-on-5 and lose the ball. Basketball I.Q. *Playoffs teams drop back multiple players to minimize fast breaks. Become more half court game. Takes away MCW strength and plays into the hands of half court defense of leaving him open on the perimeter to pack the paint. *Great defender tag is overrated. I watched him closely on defense in preseason...kinda like a chicken with its head cut off. Luckily stumbles into the path of the ball or passing lane while half the time losing track of his man for easy back door cuts down the center of the lane. I hope he can develop his shooting, because a successful MCW with the Rockets means a successful Rockets. I just don’t see it happening.
If Jeff Van Gundy calls you an elite defender, you can defend. MCW is a nice 10th-11th guy to have on the roster. All in all, Gary Clark needs to be the 8th man, because we have way too much scoring and not enough glue in our bench brigade.
my question is that 3 new additions are in the rotation. Who do you like the best, Melo, MCW or Ennis?
He might be the worst Rockets player I've seen in the rotation since... dare I say he looks worse than Brewer?
He must be great at training sessions..... Everybody knew him starting is a dissaster waiting to happen. MDA needed 4 minutes of live game action to realize that
He didn't let Lowry walk. He traded him for a 1st round pick that was the key component to getting the Harden trade done. I'd hardly call that a mistake.
