ClutchFans Game Thread: Rockets @ Lakers 10/20/2018

Our perimeter defense was totally absent. Harden let Rondo take a jumper in front of his face. So many open jumpers too. Coach JB is badly missed.

Teams have worked hard to slow and stop Harden. Javale's length on the perimeter bothered him. Players are getting better with their on the ball defense against him too.

No one is giving our guys a clear path to the basket. Every point needs to be earned.

 

Rondo is a hothead and Paul should known better but you can’t always be in control in a situation like that. I don’t know how many games a punch gets but theyll probably get the same punishment. Can’t prove the spit happened but it probably did intentionally or not.

Ingram is just an idiot, he clearly deserves the longest suspension.

 

I usually watch the game thoroughly. Only when I get bored do you see me in the game thread. And that's rare.

 

1. You kinda WANT Rondo taking jumpers
2. The Lakers might be the worst 3 point shooting team in the NBA, it won't work as well against teams with an NBA offense
3. Harden has always received that attention, but now he's out of shape and in physical decline, I question how well his game ages with his conditioning.

 

2. Yup. Lakers are still not a complete team. They are on a decent way to get there.

 

Conditioning is a problem for Harden, but his game doesn't rely on explosiveness. He can play at a high level consistently, if he is fit.

 

Yeah, and so much sweeter to do it to the Lakers fans after all their opening day home game hype,

 

Let's hope that improves.

I swear you can’t make this up. CP3/Rondo might not got suspended.

 

I have a feeling Lebron has been wanting to land some punches on Rondo himself, since Rondo's Celtics days lol...

He was probably thanking CP.

This reminds me of a broadcaster or news reporter getting ready to get fired for something they said until the execs realize ratings went up.

Paul should get fined. One game suspension max. Rondo at least 2 for not minding his own business, violating Paul's space and spitting in his fsce. Ingrim 20 because he's mentally unstable and needs to take time off for some mandatory anger management classes.

On the bright side, Paul could use the extra rest.

Yo what are you guys talking about Harden is in decline? The dude posted 36, 5 and 7 on good shooting. Same with CP, had an amazing game as well. There is no decline on the offensive end.

The defense though, yea there needs to be some thorough work there.....like alot. We should be steamrolling these Lakers.
