Unfortunately, we did get something in return. Nothing in return would have been awesome. Chriss appears to be a scrub, and Knight is broken but gets paid a lot. Yes, the cost to get rid of Anderson was steep.

I really want to trade him/picks for a defender. He is a quality player for Magic or Hawks because he can improve the draft pick for them. It is not a good fit for us. Our goal is to win the championship, but not improve the draft pick from 30 to 25.

The short term of the Sun/Rox trade looks like the Suns fleeced us. They got a starter to space the floor for the rookie center (Anderson is a functional player logging minutes in the NBA) and a solid project in a area of need for them. (Melton will log minuets this year as a rotation player for them —> injured right now but not at the time of the trade) We got a non rotation player that shouldn’t be in the league after the trade deadline (0 NBA minuets) and a player that has no timeline on a return (0 NBA minuets).
What the Rockets got was MDA happy and saved the owner a few duckets. I don’t really consider Knight or Chriss as Rockets. MDA didn’t want to see Anderson on the bench anymore so he is gone.
Brandon please get healthy soon . We need you . We need to keep MCW glued to the bench . MCW has inversely shattered my already low expectations.
Good god if Knight was someone we’re leaning on this year we may as well tank. As for Ryno, well we do need a power forward, but D’antoni wasn’t going to play Ryno so no, we were not fleeced.
