Tip your caps fellas, cause the Sox have had us chasing the entire series, have had an answer for every charge the Stros have made. Stros are damn good. Red Sox are better. Hopefully the Astros will swallow the bad pill and come back next year motivated as ever to reclaim their throne
Alex Cora has completely stolen the heart of this team. Last year these guys were incredible at seizing the moment. Whether the momentum was completely on their side or against them they always found a way. Now their backs are against the wall and they look lost and depressed.
Grats to Red Sox. They played error free, and got hits when they needed. They were better team. Astros were just terrible this series.
Astros have been fighting hard all series. But Boston, after game one, just stole all of their mojo. They are literally us from last year. It is what it is. A tip of the cap and a f*** you to them. Still game left, but I'll love our team whatever happens. I just had this sinking feeling too, with all that pregame talk of Verlander dominating in elimination games and Price's struggles and pitching on short rest, that this result was inevitable. So disappointment sure. But back-to-back 100+ win seasons, another division crown, return trip to the ALCS. I'll take it....If I have to.
