Uhhh you are gonna have to explain this to me. Cause he went to the Clippers for about 4 mil I believe and dont know anything about the cap really.

But I will say I was okay with letting Ariza go. Luc is better than Ennis and Melo. Tbh we also have CP who is 34, we NEED to win now, we do not have time to wait. Honestly if the result is games like this, than Luc may have very well been worth the money.

I don't think it's unfair to acknowledge how bad they were tonight. I wouldn't write them off, but when you lose a couple good defensive players AND your defensive coach, then proceed to play terrible defense on night 1... I am willing to excuse people's hyperbole for the night.

They gave up 76 points in the paint. That’s almost an entire game of scoring, smh.

JJ Fatt should be tired. Jose Fatuve should be tired. NBA athletes, the best athletes in the world, are tired? Did the Rockets get fat & happy? @Snow Villiers

Defense is all about individual effort first and then how everyone works as a team together doing that. The Rox can still be just as good but tonight they were waiting for the defense to come together opposed to imposing their own will on the game.Forget that sellout coach that left. This is a mans game and you have to understand that if you do not challenge people you will get beat in this league

They were bad inside. Yes they lost a few good defensive players but picked up a few as well. Roy Rogers isn't a snooze at defense either...and players don't forget how to play D.

It's the first game of the season. You can't judge a team in it's 5-10 games.

Second half D was much better . However , the pelicans were already in a rhythm and made some tough contested shots .

I'm much more concerned about our rebounding .

Personnel wise, there is absolutely no excuse for the defense to be that bad. While we did get a little worse on that end with respect to individual defense, Melo, Ennis and MCW are not so much worse than Anderson, Ariza and Moute that a reasonable person would expect the defense to look as bad as it did last night. 4/5 starters are supposedly plus defenders.
