When I was graduating high school and applying to colleges I remember it being a running joke that you could/should check the "Native American" box on the financial aid/admission application because it gave you a leg up and there was almost no way to prove/disprove your claim.

Granted I don't know anyone that did that. But if my family had been telling me since birth I was part NA, you bet your ass I would've checked that box.

How many times does this have to be repeated.

She applied to a professor position at UPenn Law School as a "white/Caucasian" and was hired. She changed the status in UPenn's database 3 years into her position as a law professor at one of the best law schools in the country.

No, that stuff still matters and some of it continues to be an issue as he has continued to lie on many points. It shouldn't be the ONLY point of attack by the democrats but it is certainly fair game.

I agree with this, the problem is that his opponents also do not want to be viewed as pushovers. I think we will see politicians in the future let Trump say what he wants.

It isn't in the democrats pocket to win, In fact I would say it is less than 50/50 that the democrats win in 2020 for the reasons you outlined, plus the electoral college. More people voted against Trump than for him. More people in America dislike Trump than will vote for him..... but it doesn't really matter because of the electoral college. It doesn't matter that 2/3 of California and New York hate him.... if slightly more people in Wisconsin and Pennsylvania and Ohio prefer Trump.

actually, trump has set the bar so low with the constant lying that when he does lie its not even noticed, let alone a real issue. the hypocrisy comes into play when trump supporters/defenders, who dont have a problem at all with him being a pathological liar are so gleeful in making an issue out of warren claiming native american heritage.

no s*** sherlock. whats your point? that its ok that he is a pathological liar just b/c he is president?

trumps honesty or lack thereof is very much an issue and something we should be discussing. its the warren/native american controversy that does not have any impact on the average american.

Elizabeth Warren came across as a total fool in this whole episode. She thought she would vindicate herself, but wasn't smart enough to realize she would instead humiliate herself.

Remember your recent post about the ad hominem logical fallacy? I was sure you were going to address the actual information in the article. But you didn't.

Lmao at the fact check from the biased Washington Post. They didn’t prove that she had a high percentage of Native American heritage, but rather suggested that it MIGHT be possibly higher than 1/1064th. Didn’t prove anything.

This may be dense, but I recall in the last presidential election, the commentators were saying that the road for a Republican to win was very narrow because they had to capture certain highly contested states. I may be misremembering but it seemed like it was not all just a candidate issue, but an opinion that the current system given the then views which states were solidly red or blue made it extremely difficult for a Republican to win it.

Is my memory off or is it just that views have changed given the way certain States went last time?
