I'll just leave this here.. New Orleans Pelicans forward Anthony Davis may be on the cover of NBA 2K16 but surprisingly, he doesn't like to play as himself. Instead, Davis always plays with the Houston Rockets, mainly because of James Harden. Asked if he plays as himself by gaming expert Matt “NaDeSHoT” Haag in an interview with Redbull, Davis responded with "I actually don't. I play with the Rockets. James Harden all the time." https://www.cbssports.com/nba/news/anthony-davis-says-he-always-plays-as-james-harden-in-nba-2k/
Media : Boston offered 3 picks and 2 stars. Reality: 2 2nd rounders, Clippers lottery protected, Semi Ojejejejeje and Terry Rozier.
It's crazy how we're going to win this year's championship and then win again the season after. Spoiler
It'll come down to how well New Orleans plays it. If they get Lakers up to say Ingram + Kuzma + a pick as the main pieces of the package, they can call Ainge and tell him we're sending him to LA unless you give up Tatum + Brown + Sac pick. Again that may be ridiculous and unreasonable to request, but my god they're dealing with two franchises that have a ridiculous amount of assets and does not want to lose AD to the other and watch that rival re-write history that could have been theirs. (Ok that was way too dramatic and stakes wont get that high but its Boston and LA we're talking about!)
Is that enough though? Imagine the packages the Lakers could put together: Brandon Ingram Josh Hart Ivaca Zubac Kentavious Caldwell-Pope (salary matching) Rajon Rondo (salary matching) + picks Or for that matter what the Celtics could put together: Jayson Tatum Jaylen Brown Marcus Morris Terry Rozier No picks needed (or they could take Brown/Tatum out and add picks to keep a proven player) This would be hard for us to beat with just Gordon and Capela to offer.
If the Celtics actually put that on the table and there is any doubt about Anthony staying in New Orleans they'll definitely take the Celtics offer. Tatum is the best player listed.
Either Ainge fleeces New Orleans, Morey fleeces New Orleans or LeBron fleeces New Orleans. There's no in-between for the Pelicans, I'm afraid.
AD's been saying all the right things and doing all the right things to make us think he wants to stay there but man....he deserves better...he deserves US. lol
To be fair the Cavs only have to beat them to come out of the East and they're still not the Warriors. The Timberwolves already have to somehow beat the Warriors, if they make us better they'll be contending with us as well for the next 4 years.
