I was really expecting your reply to be ...

Can you guess how much unending sh*t Carlos Bustamante (professor of genetics at Stanford) would take from his colleagues if he muffed his evaluation? It would be on par with a climate scientist who denies anthropogenic climate change.

Agreed. I just wanted to put the kabash on the presumtion that anyone is taking this as an honest test to begin with.

There are detailed genealogical records on Warren and detailed genealogical records for the Cherokees, which is the tribe that she has in the past claimed to be descendant from. Also, the DNA that was used as a comparison was not even North American Native DNA, and the Cherokee Nation has gone public to call B.S. on her claims. But this can be taken further, by examining the veracity of the test she has taken, even though this test also proves that she is not what she has claimed to be.

If the people of Massachusetts have any sense of shame at all, they will vote her out of her Senate seat on November 6, 2018. She is running this year.

Warren at worst tells one little white lie and needs to get run out of town? Is that the new Republican, Social Conservative Warrior standard?

    Just curious.

    Warren didnt lie.

Politics has evolved into this idiocy of disagreement automatically equating to lying, fake news, being racist or other nonsense buzzwords.

You tell me which is worse-

-taking stories passed down from your family and expanding on them in interviews that overstates the reality of your Indian heritage

    Or

-saying for decades you are a self made billionaire with “only” a million dollar loan when in reality you inherited half a billion dollars and defrauded the American government millions of dollars with fraudulent tax schemes?

Please... please tell me you are more concerned about overstating your heritage from stories passed down from your grandparents. Please.

Fauxcahantas was already essentially nothing but a meme, but her doubling down on her BS after showing that she's not really Native American just made things worse for her. I'm not sure who the Democrats are going to hand their nomination to (since they don't have a serious primary) but if they give it to Fauxcahantas or Spartacus, they are doing nothing more than ensuring a 2nd term for Trump.

    Surely they can do better.

Wait..I want to clarify something here. The detailed genealogical records for the Cherokees are not at all detailed. The only detailed genealogical record was the list compiled from the Dawes Act. Tons of Cherokees and other Native Americans refused to participate, because they were terrified of having their names and their family's names on an official government list...particularly post- Trail of Tears. I've read estimates that suggest no more than 1/3 of Cherokees participated. Many Cherokees began instead to find white people to marry as soon as possible to begin assimilation and avoid persecution.

It remains a big issue, because there a lot of people who could qualify for benefits afforded to Native Americans, today, but can't prove their ancestry because their ancestors were terrified of signing on to a census list. It also pissed off a lot of Native Americans, generally, because you were to sign on as merely a Native American, giving up your tribal identity. You also had white people paying to be on the list so they could at the land that was afforded Native Americans, individually.

In short, there are not clear and accurate genealogical records for Native Americans at all. These ancestry tests are really our first true peek into our connection to ancestors that isn't tainted by legend and story.

I don't really. I just thought I'd try and clear up some of the ridiculous claims being made and enjoy myself.

You still haven't answered my question.

Its just obvious that so many of these liberals want to show how they were victims when the truth is they
were just white people growing up in American but now its the topic dujour to show you were discriminated against.

Such bs. My father's parents wouldn't allow the marriage due to being Cherokee and the test shows she
may have a great great great grandmother that has indian blood. Hahahahahaha

This is just ridiculous and I love how Trump is just calling it out.

What a self-destruction. Oh yes but she was a Minority on staff at Harvard Law School??

These people have seriously lost their minds. Half the US is women and most of the US is white.
Stop trying to act like you were a minority and claim victimhood you fraudsters.

I would love, love, love to see her run with all the identity politics nonsense. Would be so hypocritical and alienate actual minorities in the democratic party as they're black and hispanic and here you have a blue eyed rich white woman saying she's a minority to get ahead and she is claiming so by having 1/64 to 1/1000th that race?? hahahahaha

This would be such an amazing blowup as real minorities know what the struggles are and someone trying to use it will be crushed.

    Amazing, self destruction at work.
