I overreacted last year. This year, after winning the championship last year, I am still overreacting.
I have a very calming sense of zen right now about this Astros team. Even on a horrendous pitching night by Cole & Co., they were able to grind out some hits, score some runs, and put a little scare in Kimbrel. We're in great shape headed back to Houston.
Honestly not that worried about this loss... we got 1 in Boston and now have 3 straight at home. We are the better team and that will play out.
If Red Sox want to walk Breggie every at bat, I will put him in the leadoff spot before Springer. I will put Correa in the clean-up spot and DH Gattis.

CF George Springer SS Carlos Correa 3B Alex Bregman 2B Jose Altuve LF Marwin Gonzalez 1B Yuli Gurriel DH Tyler White RF Josh Reddick C Brian McCann
Correa does need to be moved up in the order. He seems to be getting back on track while Yuli has struggled aside from that 3-run homer in Game 1. White hasn't done anything this series either.
Feel like one got away last night, but hey, it is what it is. Gotta feel good with a split. I hope this is where the team turns it up.
I figured they'd do no better than a split heading into the weekend. I just assumed it would be the reverse. Lose to Sale in Game 1 and beat Price in Game 2. I suppose in a weird way this 1-1 scenario is better for the Astros. Sale clearly isn't himself and that was before he came down with a stomach virus. And Price may have survived last night, but he wasn't exactly Game 3 Price from the 2017 ALDS. It's just that Cole was not himself and the Astros bullpen had a mediocre outing. It all comes down to Game 3. If Keuchel delivers and the Astros can get the victory, the Red Sox are in a heap of trouble. Morton is a bit of an unknown heading into Game 4, but at least we know who's on the mound for us. Who is Boston gonna send out there? And then Verlander is waiting in the wings for Game 5.
If they're not going to reconfigure the lineup after Springer has a 4k game, what makes anyone think they're going to do it when things are going well? The only change I'd like to see tomorrow is putting Kemp in for White. White isn't going well and that's the one spot that can be swapped out without creating much chaos. McCann is Keuchel's catcher so I expect to see him in there tomorrow regardless.
Didn’t get a chance to actually watch the game last night. Was Maldonado as bad at keeping the ball in front of him as the play by play would indicate or were Cole and McCullers really that wild?
I'd give Tyler White one more home game before he gives way to Kemp, or Gattis. Some players are great regular season player, some can't match that in the playoffs. If Marvin caught that ball, or if Cole got that K, it would of look good for the Stros. I hope we close the roof and rock the house. BoSox better bring earplugs.
Yeah, at this point I'd be up for that. You have to have some punishment for not pitching to Alex...and right now, Yuli isn't that.
I think flipping Altuve and Bregman is likely, and would make sense without rocking the boat. The Red Sox - who won 108 games - are absolutely petrified of pitching to Alex Bregman. It's unreal.
