I KNOW that that guy has "thrown" out a first pitch several times. I would really like to see him throw a baseball, you know, like a man, or a teenager, or even a little leaguer.
yeah, went to sleep at 6am but still worth it...don't know if i'll be able to repeat that tomorrow night though
Oh and by the way; Altuve, Bregman, White & Gonzalez, basically the 4 hottest hitters this year went 0 for 12...and Astros still beat them up. I'm guessing they won't repeat their Ofer tonight...
He was actually right, back then. Verlander has improved his game though like a champ and I’m sure the president would agree.
I’ll admit I’ve been spending most of my time in game threads on Reddit, but it was a blast going back and reading through this one.
Springer, Yuli, Reddick, and Correa with the hits. Marwin, Altuve, Bregman, and White had nothing. Granted JD, Mookie and Benitendi were quiet too. Let’s chase Price early and get home up 2-0. And keep our fingers crossed for no replay reviews.
Bregman was on base 4 times. That’s not nothing...especially since he scored what was the winning run. I’m guessing the Sox are employing a strategy with these delays between pitches...then getting pissed when the Astros step out? Man that’s frustrating to watch. Just throw the f***ing ball! That had to be just demoralizing for the Sox. They can talk about how much confidence they have in Price...but there’s no way they it’s as much as they’re saying. He’s terrible in the playoffs, period. Winning today puts this series in the bag, IMO. They’d have to win 4 out of 5 and I don’t think that’s possible right now.
When pitchers complain about a pitch clock next season, MLB is just going to play video of Joe Kelly.
Not a huge fan of BN, but still... “This is a team that may not only be the best team in majors, but it could be remembered as one of the finest we’ve seen in the last 50 years”
I'm thrilled we won, but that was an ugly f**king game. Errors, and walks, and wild pitches. There were more runs than hits. Not mention a whole lot of holding the baseball, then a step out. Then more holding, then a step out. If you didn't have an emotional investment in one of these teams it was trash.
