    Yuli came in and stabilized 1st base. He’s not a big stat guy but he is a solid major league hitter. We were terrible offensively at that position for years. With Gurriel, we got a solid bat and plus defender. He can run faster than you think too.

    It’s a shame that he couldn’t start honing his skills at the major league level a few years earlier. But then I guess we wouldn’t have gotten him so cheaply. I mean 9 mil a year just isn’t a huge amount for a starting 1st baseman in the middle of the lineup on a WS team.
