but the call was on the applied tag which they said had no evidence to overturn yeah he was out on the slide but they reviewed the tag.. the initial call was incorrect. and if there's no evidence to overturn we would've been on 2nd with 1 out...
It sill amazes me the Astros unis from the Rainbows to the early 90s are the more popular now than they were then....lol. All you see on the road.
not sure that's how it works. the review is for the out call, not the initial tag...even if the field ump got it wrong, the replay got it right...this time
they look better than the jerseys we have now and the pinstripes aren't as readily available so i think that's part of the reason. i think our grey road jerseys we have on now are the best ones.
Since they're musing about it on the broadcast, I'll just say that it's a bit of shame that Most Valuable Player really means "Arguably Best Player On Best Team" in so many sports. If it meant "most valuable player to one's team," no one would be even close to Bregman this season. Exact same situation as Harden was to the Rockets when Curry won MVP years ago. Just have two awards: one that acknowledges overall individual performance and one that acknowledges value to one's team.
I think its a different generation of the fans and that the 90's uniforms were so blah. Plus back then that type of uniform was an anomaly. There have been other teams with colorful or wacky uniforms since that makes that one not seem as weird in retrospect.
Yeah......but it isn't even the full rainbows alone. It is the the off-white and blue with the rainbow stripes on the shoulders to sleeves (88-93?) too.
the ump called the initial tag out, but he was safe. the ump didn't see that he left the bag... overall, the call is correct. but if the ump made the tag call right in the first place, breg's safe (cause there's no evidence to overturn). i'm over it though. i'm just tired of losing challenges
....lol what. Betts posted an OPS above 1.000 with gold glove defense on a 108 win team. That wins MVP 10/10 times
What he means, I think, is, Betts, has other teammates such as Martinez posting monster numbers, meaning, that the success of the Red Sox is not entirely based on one or the other. Bregman, on the other hand, provided a much-needed offensive surge to our Astros, especially when we needed help during the injuries of Altuve, Correa, and Springer.
