Crazy the 2 teams that switched leagues might be playing for it all. I am thirty too but wondering when to start drinking today so I will last til the end...?
Im starting to get nervous... i see everyone is so damn confident. Ugh.... this is going to be a long day.
The way the UT game is going I'm glad I started at 3. I'm much more ok about this game 1 than I was about the Indians'.
The weather in Houston next week looks like it will cooperate, in that it will be chilly with chances of rain. If MLB was considering making the Astros open the roof, the Astros will have a legitimate reason to keep it closed.
The Brewers look surprisingly good and have a great vibe going, not all too dissimilar to the Astros last year. I wouldn't be surprised if the narrative strongly favors the Brewers over either AL team in the WS.
IIRC, unless they've changed the rules, MLB (i.e. Selig) only has say during the WS. They did in the 2005 World Series. Astros didn't have a temperature policy back then and it was actually a cold night by Houston standards. I believe now if a game time temp is 65 or less, they can keep it closed.
They're fun to watch, I just don't think they have the pitching. They were my pick as the best team in the NL before the postseason. But...first things first.
They are at home and did win 108 games. I dont have a problem being listed as the "underdog" in this scenario.
