Eric Holder, the corporate bank lawyer/lobbyist is not at all convincing as the suddenly tough guy progressive. It is sort of laughable that he is getting so much faux outrage by the hard core right faction fighters.
Again, Bizarro World! They have convinced themselves it’s the right that goes low and they stand on morally high ground. Have they not been paying attention or are they just stupid?
The counter-polarization was very predictable with Trump's election. Probably been due since the Tea Party Revolution in 2010. I think it's a huge mistake. You expect the parties themselves to fight hard for every advantage, but it's not necessarily good for voters. If Democrats still filling offices with the same species of dumbass the Republicans do, I want have anyone to vote for at all. And it's possible that they'll push voter turnout down as unaffiliated moderates become disillusioned with both sides. When people get confused or feel like they've only been given bad options, they just abdicate responsibility. What we need is a president that stands for returning to civility and bipartisanship. To get there, we need a gifted candidate so compelling that they can overcome the current toward polarization despite preaching unity. But, I don't see anyone like that on the field at all.
Luckily no tea party groups did anything like spit on the congressman and civil rights hero John Lewis. Luckily no right wing groups yelled became unhinged or were uncivil during town halls about Obamacare. LOL. Your hypocrisy is noted.
Fascists have always risen to power in the past, in similar ways. Fear monger, race bait, misoginy, etc. I respect those willing to stand up for human decency. That being said if I was in Germany during the 30s and saw a precedent to Hitler’s rise (kinda like we have today using Hitler as the precedent) Id probably start looking for alternative places to live. The world is a smaller place than it used to be. Singapore, Germany (oh the irony), and France seem like promising landing spots.
They actually didn't do that. The late Andrew Breitbart even put out a reward for video proof and no one came forward to claim it despite all the media and private cameras everywhere.
Lack of video doesn't mean it didn't happen. I remember the offer of the reward. There is video of someone in his group being spit on. It's not okay for anyone on either side to act that way. We shouldn't pretend that only side has crazies.
congressman making a theatrical fuss over a "say-it-don't-spray-it" mishap =/= Civil Rights Hero John Lewis was SPAT ON. Do you see how fake news is manufactured and then massaged into your consciousness now?
