Butler will come out of this fine... actually less hurt than the Wolves or KAT.... players already don’t have a lot of respect for Wiggins and KAT.
They are both very useful players. I think Richardson is overall more valuable than Dragic or Gordon. Richardson is the youngest and still improving, can play multiple spots on a good contract and doesn’t need the ball in his hands.
The problems in Minnesota are Towns, Wiggins and Glen Taylor, not Butler. When Butler can come in after being MIA for about a month and beat Towns and Wiggins’ team with a team of third-stringers, that makes it pretty obvious whom the organization should be building around. But it’s far too late for Minnesota to reverse course now. Watch as veterans like Teague and Gibson want out, too. However, both of them have starting jobs in Minnesota that may be hard to come by elsewhere, so they may be willing to suck it up and stay.
Isn't there something about the team that gets the best player wins the trade. Gordon and Tucker seems like so much to give up that I don't think I could make that trade. But I find myself hoping that Morey does.
Gordon is a tough one. The dude is in his prime right now but is playing behind two of the top 10 players in the league. He’s never had a chance to shine due to horrible teammates and injuries. He seems to be healthy now. D’antoni and Harden do bring out the most from players, so it’s tough to say whether he is a 20 point scorer on another team or wouldn’t be as successful. EDIT: I think he’s a capable 20 point scorer EDIT #2: I checked to see what other years he averaged 20 points. Dude was averaging 22 by his third season! We’re pretty lucky to have picked him up two summers ago at that price. During a summer when everyone was getting paid ridiculous money no less
Stop posting what this guy said, he was already very sketchy, this just seals the deal. What nonsense. Edit: Sorry I dont mean to be a dick but this tweet is outlandish.
Maybe Thibs struck a deal with Butler behind the scenes. Thibs - "How about you come back and just let everyone have it as you see it because frankly, I see it the same way. Tell these guys what you think and see if it gets under their skin and if they have any mettle. That would be a big help for me and you would get to vent in an environment where there won't be any backlash from me or the owner. We have already discussed it. What do you say?" Butler - "So you're saying I can come in there and tell these pu$$ies what I think and y'all gonna be cool?" Thibs - "Unload." Butler - (sly grin) "Shiiiiiiiiit! Aight! I want an interview for the news right after though for damage control cause I gots an image to maintain, ya know." Thibs - "I'm texting Rachel now."
When was the last time someone in the NBA pulled something like this?? I mean, Sprewell was the last to pull something like this by choking his coach.
I tried to look this up and Sprewell came up, and of course Dwight: " . A pending free agent in 2013, Howard toyed with the media. His constant showboating and off-putting demeanor angered Magic upper management and coach, Stan Van Gundy. One day he wanted to re-sign and the next day he didn’t. It all became too much. Howard forced his way out with passive aggressive jabs. His trade the Summer of 2012 to the Lakers made waves. Teaming alongside Kobe Bryant, Pau Gasol and Steve Nash, the Lakers looked prime for another dynasty. We all know how it ended. Nash hurt. An early exit in the Playoffs. Kobe Bryant and Howard feuding. That off-season, D-12 said goodbye to the Lakers and signed with Houston. How surprising..."
