I agree with your sentiment to post. cyberx is more trustworthy now, because he corrected a wrong. Let's summarize: What cyberx said was our picks are on the table as response to a tweet that PJ+EGo is not on the table, That corrected what he was told yesterday with regard to we are holding onto our picks. Yesterday he was saying we'd offer both players, before we'd add FRPs. He's now saying we favor using multiple picks over throwing in PJ. None of this is saying PJ is off limits. Due to difficulty of salary-matching PJ with Picks, I'm sure if their salaries were flipped, and EGo was the one who was harder to salary-match to Butler, the whole thing would be reversed, and we'd be saying we wont add EGo to the offers. And reread the Opening Post ... this thread was all about "multiple variations" of PJ, EGo and Picks from post #1. cyberx is just trying to piece together the order of offers. And clearly the PJ-only and EGo-only offers were rejected. The next step is the higher salary is matched with Picks. Then maybe the lower-salary with Picks (but added CBA difficulty factors), then both players (but we'd need more value back), and so on.
You attacked cyber as a fake this whole thread. But now when cyber "validates" Holic, all of a sudden cyber is legit again. Which one is it.
Again, I think that's the major point we diverge on. Fair enough. We could go through the Rockets roster and say yay or nay on combos with Butler, but I think I can safely say I don't see anyone on this current roster who can do pick up either the Tuck or EG role enough to get a decent return out of Butler... Now that isn't to say come February they don't find someone, or stocks in guys like Ennis or Green rise enough to warrant it. But as you said, the economics of the trade also make it daunting. Not to mention the issues of chemistry. Tuck has fit with Harden and CP3, and Butler does have some chemistry issues in all the places he's played. But that's somewhat divergent to the argument at hand (but still worth mentioning). Morey talked about upping the Rocket's risk profile. This for sure does that. So hey, maybe this deal does get done.
I wonder if Chriss' performance made Morey subsequently hesitant to give up Tucker. If Chriss had been able to come in and show any signs of development it would have been a longshot but potential in house replacement.
Hahaha damn maan. Thats not fair. Like what everyone else has said, he's not necessarily wrong, its just that EG AND Tucker, both arent the table. And I have never quoted holic in this thread, so I could care less. And for the record I have also told you this So I wasnt blindly believing in anybody.
This one, but not THAT one AND that one, not BOTH, or is it? STAAAAHP already. Y'all can all have BOFA.
Anyone feel like the Rockets have seen enough of Chriss and don't want to get him back on the floor to expose him anymore as a negative?
So, if we were being used by Minny, does that mean they would not have taken the EG plus Tucker offer had we said yes? Im not understanding this. Or is it that they knew we would not say yes to that deal?
