Well if wolves called rockets back then obviously we are not including Tucker. This is simply a negotiating tactic. We have the upper hand if they initiated the call. Vice versa if we kept calling them then we have the lower hand and Tucker will need to be included.
Wow, i didn't know and i'm actually surprised he's 60...for some reason i thought he was around 50...
Jerry West: "Sorry Tom, there just isn't a strong market for a nearly thirty year old guard that has averaged 38 minutes a game the last 5 years, has missed a month of the season three of the last 4 years, wants 190 million dollars and only wants to play in LA or NY. I can't give you Tobias for that Tom. I'll give you a couple seconds and Gallinari." Thibs: "Whhhhhat he is a star!!!! Gallinari? Jimmy wipes his ass with Gallinari." Daryl Morey: "Alright let me jump in. We will give you the rights to Jason Collier, Eddie Griffin, Malik Badiane and uhh..... Eric Gordon." Pat Riley: "Tom, let me sell you on Hassan Whiteside and Dion Waiters."
This guys is right and I am wrong. I tried to confirm what I posted about the Rockets not wanting to give up a draft pick yesterday and my guy WITH the Rockets told me they are more than willing to give up picks. I do not know the agenda, I just shared what I heard. In this case, my original source was wrong.
Let's make a bet. If PJ is not included in a Butler trade then you and all your buddies that liked your bet leave the board forever........ Don't waste my time
I cannot believe I'm saying this but I agree with Holic. 1) The Wolves would have already accepted any deal with Tucker on the table included with Gordon, as it would have obviously been the best deal the Wolves could have hoped for. If Tucker was on the table, the deal would already be done. 2) Tucker is vital in so many areas for this team, that I question anybody who thinks moving him truly improves our team. If you watched last season, especially the Warriors games, that should be rather apparent, and that doesn't even account for the bargain contract he's on. Luckily...Morey is smart, which is why Tucker isn't being made available. Butler for Gordon and fillers makes sense. Butler for Gordon and Tucker does not.
Sounds like they are willing to give multiple picks as opposed to giving Tucker. This can change, but it is where the Rockets stand right now.
I don’t believe Tucker has been included, and the reasoning for that is stronger than “well cyberx said so” @HP3 Our owner, who clearly says too much when asked, said we’re not gonna “break up this team” with regards to the Jimmy talks. So yeah, he musta been talking about Nene right? Someone fed cyberx bad info, which is common
I can understand not including Tucker in a deal. Although who knows what to believe. Tucker is vital to our defense; put him and Butler out there and we'd be formidable in that regard. If you can manage to get Sacramento involved with its cap space and bye-bye Brandon Knight to them. Draft picks of some kind for Chriss, somewhere. Those draft picks used by Minnesota to satisfy a team's (again, Sac, with all its expirings?) sweet tooth so they can unload Dieng. The numbers can be made to work without including P.J. But will Minnesota s*** or get off the pot? It happens. He might have heard right, he might have heard wrong, but the way Tucker is playing, the Rockets will do their best to hold onto him. And there it is.
PJ was never going to be part of the offer for JB. it made 0 sense. The biggest reason was but its Jimmy Butler. He's good but he isn't replacing what both EG and PJ do for this team. not even close. For whatever reason, some of cf's wanted to believe hes some kind of throw in, despite what he's visibly shown as far as importance and even echoed multiple times by rockets personnel. If he was, the trade would of been done a long time ago. PJ is absolutely a Thibbs type of player. This package trumps any package that's been "rumored" to Minny easily Just glad DM and co is smart enough to realize this
PJ Tucker has been on the table since day 1. There was never a point where the Rockets said he was untouchable in a Butler trade.
I feel that giving Tucker will be the last resort. Leveraging picks over trading PJ, but if it comes down to it, I believe they do it.
Maybe. But it'd be foolish to give up Tucker AND EGO, given how we need Tucker's defense. Three point shooting we can replace.
Too many posters lack common sense. Also, I wonder how EG is taking all this? “PJ is untouchable! But EG? Yeaaahh you can have him” I know I know. He’s a pro. He’d welcome the bigger role. But still, Damn!
