i know someone who knows someone, who's friend of someone saying jimmy b might be traded this Friday 1pm ET.
Ok boys. How are you going to determine who is right here since it's cyberx versus me? Such amateurs. I acknowledged cyberx legitimately heard PJ was being offered. What I simply started was that is a lie that real insiders are spreading around to increase other offers for Butler. You have to understand something. Well over 90% of leaks are false. Because there is motive to leak the wrong info. A lot of times it's simply a huge load of crap. And a lot of times it's a load of crap wrapped around just a straw of truth. In this case, the rumor from insiders that we offered both Gordon and Tucker together in a Butler trade is a load of crap. And you clowns should know it already. We're not trading Tucker. And that is not insider information. It's good old-fashioned common sense. Good luck with your bets.
http://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/24894184/can-lebron-attract-superstar-free-agent-lakers Speaking of the Wolves ... Like a lot of my reporter brethren, I've heard executives complain over the last couple of weeks about how Minnesota is doing business with the Butler saga. But let's make one thing clear: The Wolves have the asset. They have the player that everyone who calls wants. That means they have leverage, and it also means they have every right to take their time. It's the same reason Butler can get away with going in and demanding a trade on the eve of training camp. Yeah, it's a bad look. Yeah, it backs up some of the stuff the Chicago Bulls hinted when they traded him. But guess what, there will be teams falling all over themselves to offer him $160 million next July anyway. Because he's really good and he plays both ends of the floor and he's a fierce competitor. He can do what he wants. And as long as we're being real, let's not act like an owner and a GM/coach being on different pages is a new thing. No, Glen Taylor didn't put his front office in a good spot when he contradicted them when it came to Butler's availability. It's not the sign of a healthy organization. But this stuff happens to varying degrees all the time. Tom Thibodeau knows if he doesn't have a good year he's going to get fired. And he knows if he makes a bad trade for Butler or a trade that just stocks the shelves for the next GM that it doesn't help his cause. He's not going to take the pu pu platter. Yes, Butler can walk at the end of the year. But you think that's at the front of Thibodeau's mind right now? No way, he's trying not to get walked himself. It's Miami and Houston, two teams who've been hard after Butler, who have minimal leverage. With all due respect to the Heat, if they don't want to make Josh Richardson or Bam Adebayo available for Butler that's fine. But what other star are they going to trade for then? It's not like there's an option B or C out there. And they're paying $47 million to Tyler Johnson, James Johnson and Dion Waiters next season instead of being players in the free-agent market. Houston has a great team, but their only chance of getting a player like Butler for the next few years is by trade. The Rockets can probably be a little more patient, and they have fewer assets to offer than the Heat. But there's no reason Minnesota shouldn't play hardball with them. This seems to be where the Wolves are operating. It's a bad hand they have, but regardless of what their competitors want them to do, they're not folding yet. Good for them.
The article missed one important factor, which is time is not on the twolves side. The season is about to start, will they want Butler to play and potentially screwing up the chemtry of the team? Don't forget thibb is wearing his GM hat now and soon he will be wearing the coach hat. As the coach he may not want to have Butler playing along side with Kat or Wiggins. Therefore twolves is on a time constraint
If you're so confident let's make a bet. On the off chance the trade does go down, and Tucker is involved, you have to stop posting on here forever.
Thibs actually want Butler to put on the uniform and play in the hopes of changing his mind. He already has Kat extended on his contract. What else does he have to lose
Thibs wants Butler to play no doubt, but will Wiggins and Kat be able to coexist with him? What about on court off court distractions? As the time getting closer and closer to Feb trade deadline, Butler value will decrease dramatically. Butler is no way will return and that's pretty guarantee. Butler's value is at its highest before season opening.
Again...... The Rockets are more than willing to include Tucker in a trade. The Rockets have since day 1 had Tucker available in a Butler trade.
Honestly, I am ok to part with EG and Tucker for Butler. Think of this way, are we willing to offer max extension to EG? What other way could we get someone of butlers caliber player? Only in trades. Will we be at a better chance in beating the warriors with todays lineup or with Butler less EG and Tucker? What about next season? Once we get Butler we could basically locked him up at max and we have 4 starters in CP, Harden, Butler, and CC. That's a scary lineup. We lose defense in Tucker but that can be made up with Butler. Tucker and EG are great but Butler still outweights them both.
