I think it's done man, whatever the case may be regarding PJ, I think it's pretty clear Minny wants young players and that they have been really engaging with Miami. Like someone else has said, if they have already traded medical records then it's just a matter of when not if .
I really wouldn’t be surprised if this ends up just like the Paul George and Kawhi Leonard trades. A team comes out of nowhere that no one was expecting.
It is up to Jimmy Butler. If he wants to be traded no matter what he eventually will. It may be the Rockets. Perhaps Morey has an offer which will end up being the best one at the end of the day.
The moment has definitely passed. Don’t let random tweets and posts make you think we’re still in it. Our original trade offer was pretty damn close to our best offer, whatever that may have been. Nothing from then til now could have changed much.
Chris Haynes: https://sports.yahoo.com/minnesota-not-trying-trade-jimmy-020839008.html Minnesota wants Tobias Harris in any deal with the Clippers. Clippers are not willing to part with him. A lot of people within the league feel Minnesota is legitimately not trying to move him. That has caused frustration around the league. Usually when a team calls another team to inquire on a player, they call the GM. Ultimately all calls and all say will have to go through ownership but over there you have Tom Thibodea, Scott Layden & Glen Taylor. There are a lot of people in the league who do not know who to talk to. There's different people with different stances on what it'll take to pry themselves from Jimmy. (Will he be in a Wolves jersey to start the season?) I think so. There's been a tremendous amount of interest. He's stated he wants out numerous times. Thibs believes his relationship going back to Chicago, he believes he can talk Jimmy into rescinding that trade request. I think that's what is really holding this thing up. They think they can repair this. I don't think that's the case but we shall see.
Can Thibs repair his career doe? Some people just care too much about their semi star than about their bizness.
Tom Thibodeau has returned to Minnesota and reiterated he will not trade Jimmy Butler in a meeting with Butler on Monday, league sources tell me and @JonKrawczynski.
