Interesting lineup. Of all the times Kemp hasn't been in the lineup this year when he should have been, he gets a DH spot for the first time in a playoff game. I love Kemp, but it's hard to not see White in the lineup. That said, Correa at short with a groundball pitcher in Keuchel is something they clearly thought about. Keuchel needs every out he can get for his sake, so having your best shortstop out there for defense may be the best choice. We shall see. I'm hoping that Kemp is in there to be the guy that gets on and around the bases however possible. Again, the Astros need to scrape every run they can get, and if Kemp can beat out an infield single or a bunt or get an extra base while running, then he'll be doing his pre-leadoff role properly. He's got to do that this game, though, this game, and I'm sure he knows it. I have faith in Kemp, but it doesn't mean I don't have a lot of faith in one of our top three hottest hitters in White as well. I guess if there was ever a time to experiment in the playoffs, it's early and when you'll still have the series lead if you lose.
Doing what Dallas does best. Hopefully all these ground balls will keep his pitch count low also so he can go into the 7th comfortablely.
