Is that a challenge? He's just a voice that only has his job because of his father and really should stick to football to stay employed. He is terrible. He wants to be Bob Costas but has half the vocabulary and a third of the nuance.
He readily admits he got his start and had several advantages at first due to who is dad was. But come on... he’s been the lead guy for all fox sports for over 20 years now, and his dad passed away over 15 years ago. I know you don’t like him... not saying you have to... but you really are stooping down to the level of posters you loathe with that hot take. He’s light years ahead of the guys they’ve had calling all these division series games, and it’s not even close. I’m actually worried that there is no current young pbp guys who look to be primed to become a top national guy... unless you love Matt Vasgergian (who I don’t).
If those guys are used, got to assume Cleveland has used guys as well. Very doubtful Astros bullpen is in worse shape than Cleveland's
Even Bob Costas is painful when doing live baseball. I didn’t enjoy his broadcast last year. Costas excelled with the halftime NFL show. None of these guys are perfect....Buck is better then the TBS crew. Agree... will never be his father or other classic voices.
Need to go ahead and finish this today, it's poor form to play with your food. Wrap it up and hopefully watch Boston and New York blow out their pens.
I personally don't really dislike Joe Buck. He doesn't have any business being the voice of a generation, which he unarguably is, but I've never thought dear god not Joe Buck. He's a perfectly adequate PBP guy IMO.
Just looked it up on websites. Cleveland is -122 today and -117 tomorrow. So it’s exactly as I said, they will be the favorites in both games due to some combination of starting pitching and home field advantage. Look, that’s not insurmountable and by comparison the Yankees are -178 (and the Astros were about -140 for games 1 and 2) Look, I don’t think the series is coming back to Houston, but I was just pushing. Back against the idea that this thing is over, or that it was never going to be tough. That’s a really good team over there.
Stay humble, stay hungry. If Dallas can get out of the first inning unscathed, I like our chances but honestly will be surprised if he does.
No kidding. There's many pros and cons to working from home. This is both. I have a crap ton to get done and it's not going to be easy with the game taking up much of the 2nd half of the day. Hopefully this is the last day game of the season.
Due to early start times, all 3 games have interrupted my schedule. Two games, I haven't even been able to watch.
That's an interesting lineup. Not sure I'm crazy about sitting White for Kemp. Moving Correa down another spot isn't going to do wonders for his mindset but I suppose it's needed. He's doing well hitting the ball the other way but it's still without much power. Reddick appears to be heating up at the absolute perfect time.
yeah pretty much the same thoughts here as well. maybe something they like with the Kemp vs Clevinger matchup. White has definitely played well the first two games and its not his play thats got him out of the lineup
