The global warming/climate change movement is a Neo-Malthusian effort to restrain economic growth as a way to limit population growth in Asia/India and ensure that the lifestyles and more importantly, power, of the developed world are sustained. Asia and India have far more people and resources than the developed world. Limiting these regions' ability to growth using low cost energy stunts their growth and lowers their qualities of living -- which in turn ensures that Western Europe, Developed Asia (Japan/Korea) and the USA retain their roles as global economic leaders and the most powerful countries.

Democratic leadership will never admit to this, but this is motivation for the movement. Everything in politics points back to gaining or retaining power, and this is no different. The climate change movement is yet another deceitful lie, camouflaged in a "we're saving the world" feel good story, the likes of which liberals blindly subscribe to.

On the contrary, it is your position on this issue that is both selfish and inhumane. My goal is to lift the quality of life in places like China, India, and Africa. The goal of climate change proponents is to safeguard existing geopolitical power structures by capping the growth of developing economies by limiting their access to low cost forms of energy. That's why even a fossil fuel centric country like Russia wants in on the Paris agreement. They want to ensure they will be able to do business on the global stage when the Paris Agreement counsel helps align the best way to help power a country like Zimbabwe over the next 100 years. Now the US is poised to ensure it wins ZERO percent of those international agreements to bring work opportunities back to the US.

According to an article in Forbes just today, 65% of Chinese electricity comes from coal and 75% of India's electricity comes from coal. Both countries will provide lip service to renewables and 'green energy', employing renewables in selected geographic regions where it is economically beneficial for them to do so. Wind in the Texas panhandle and solar in the California deserts are examples of the US doing similarly. But make no mistake, Asian countries and India are staunchly opposed to curtailing economic development by restricting their energy choices. The Asian countries play the public relations game in order to manage global politics, since Western media dominates globally and Western media are climate change activists. These Asian countries say what they need to publicly, but their actions are far more telling, and their actions indicate strong support for all forms of energy.

I'm giving you a window into how the world really works. But go ahead and continue to get played like a fool by the media and by the selfish and inhumane liberal elitists who have been lying their face off with regard to climate change for decades. Time and again, their hysterical predictions have proven false, yet they continue on. I would argue you'd want to laugh at anyone who would suggest that China or India are doing anything serious to limit their growth or pollution. They are the main reason why it doesn't matter what the US or anyone else does to attempt to set the global thermostat, any actions will be offset by those two.

Chinese use of coal for instance has flat-lined - meanwhile their nuclear energy has more than doubled and will triple again by 2030 to put them in line with the United States in nuclear power. China isn't going to curtail economic develop you dummy, they are realizing they don't need coal to grow unlike stupid people who think a backwards 1800's technology of coal is still necessary.

In India - you are even more misinformed - where the coal industry is crashing. Indian use of coal as dropped from 78% in 2010 to under 58% in 2017 - so your number are just wrong. There are no new plans for coal plants with all of Indian's future energy needs being met by LESS EXPENSIVE renewables which are 20% CHEAPER.


You are grossly out of touch with reality and your false reality shows you how poorly educated you are. It's actually pretty disturbing that you throw erroneous facts and conclusions. You must be doing very poorly in business these days.

 

Why do we have limit our growth?

Natural gas is cleaning than coal... start moving away from coal towerds cleaning natural gas.

Solar and wind costs have come down to the point where they are competitive... invest more in renewable energy installation. Conservative Texas has invested billions in energy transmission lines from windy/sunny west Texas to the population centers.

Energy efficiency means replacing more infficient appliances and the like with more energy efficient ones as time moves on....

China is investing both in production and the infrastructure needed for imports. The US may have to put its second round of LNG export terminals on hold due to the trade war.
