I don't get this. You guys won. You won, do a victory dance. The odd obsession with cooking up a plot (same city I tell you!) for Dr. Ford makes no sense to me.

Yes, a professor is so completely daft that she let democratic operatives talk her into a bizarre scheme (a "coordinated hit job"), starting many years ago, and then virtually ruining her life, with her family in hiding all for zero gain for herself or her family. Just the opposite. Makes. Zero. Sense. Occam's razor rejects that completely.

Maybe it's this simple: She had her story. Kav-bro had his. And he had calendars. She had nothing but her memory of an attack. And you won. Enjoy. I think obsessing over making yourself feel better about dismissing Ford will actually rob y'all of fully enjoying your victory celebration. Just take a cue from the turtle.

Honestly the only thing that I have even a slight curiosity about when it comes to this ordeal has to do with the real reason why Dr. Ford was in therapy. We know she perjured herself by saying it had to do with arguments over ongoing house renovations....but we now know those renovations took place 4 years before she was in therapy....and she got her way. So what was the real reason?

Anyway it doesn't matter I guess, but that's the one answer I'd like to have.

To which I respond to many of those on your side...

I don't get this. You guys lost. You lost, quit crying. The odd obsession with continuing to operate under the assumption the Supreme Court has a sitting rapist on it based on claims that were debunked makes no sense to me.

Like you said in another post. Police your own.

You pointed out one freak. I pointed out several. BTW I think both Ford and Kavanaugh were getting death threats.

If I had to speculate: she's a leftist, and they often have problems in their marriages. In such a case as hers, there's a basic conflict between her political ideology and the realities of daily married life (see: the chore wars). In a larger sense, leftist women who are married cannot reconcile their desire for freedom/independence/autonomy with the necessary interdependency that a successful marriage requires -- to say nothing of the necessary compromises, capitulations, and sacrifices that a successful marriage requires.

My guess would be that they were in couple's therapy as a result of infidelity on her part and she used the story of attempted rape "in her late teens" as a way of excusing or at least justifying her actions. We already know that she has a history of infidelity when her ex spoke out so I think this theory is pretty solid.

You had an FBI director sweep it under the rug by saying that despite the evidence of wrongdoing he didn't suggest prosecution and you had an Obama administration only too happy to take that and run with it to protect their candidate. There's literally no case that she didn't mishandle classified information, so this isn't a good hill to die on bucko.

Said FBI director has been fired and Obama is no longer the president, so why has she still not been charged?

That doesn't mean she never will be....also, it's very likely that they'll just let her get away with it now that she's irrelevant. Again, there's literally no case that she didn't break the law and I'm sure.....well maybe YOU don't know it, but just about everyone else does.

You new SCOTUS judge felt she was relevant enough to bring her up in his hearings and couldnt care less about your bias opinion of her guilt - but I digress.

You are yet to answer the question - why has she still not been charged?

Kavanaugh lied under oath and was confirmed to the SCOTUS.

By this standard there is no longer a need for confirmation hearings. Any low life is a fit for any govt position if it's a Republican. They have no moral fiber in them. Going forward, I have 0 respect for anyone who supports that party.

To appoint this disgusting human being who lied repeated under oath....those 50 senators are garbage. They are no better than Trump. They are all treasonous.

I truly think the Rubicon has been crossed in American politics.

My mother, my wife, my sister-in-law, many married female friends would probably agree with me that what you said is one of the most asinine things I’ve ever heard. At least in my circle of friends, the divorce rate is incredibly higher among the “righties”. Maybe anecdotal evidence at best but what you are attempting to state as fact is “Billy Madison trying to explain the Industrial Revolution using 'The Puppy Who Lost His Way' as evidence” stupid.

Just answer the simple question, and if you cant, have the self dignity to admit that you cant.

why has she still not been charged?

Yes, I think that's quite likely. That's the simpler explanation. The charge of rape is often used to cover up infidelity.

Divorce is rampant throughout all communities. And the reason is often what I stated. People want their independence, but want to be married. But that doesn't work. For women, see the desire to have the hyphenated last name, which symbolically retains independence. Also see many women's desire not to have "honor and obey" in the wedding vows. Of course, men are guilty of some of these types of things too. Just because you don't like my analysis does not mean that it is not true.

Then it’s not a left or right thing. You keep trying to attribute the wrongs in society to your bastardized definition of what’s “leftist”. Some things are just wrong and some things are left behind by civilizations because they’re just wrong. You and many of the other self-professed “libertarians” want the 1950s back. It ain’t happening. And the fact that things are different is only a problem for the people that cannot evolve.

I don’t expect my wife to obey me any more than she would expect it of me. We (and a good part of the world) are more evolved than that. You, clearly are not.
