Hilary had about 3 million more votes. That is a lot of votes. If you look at the electoral map Texas is a sea of red except for Harris, Bexar, Travis, and Dallas counties which happen to be the 4 largest cities in Texas. They also happen to be where a large chunk of the Texas economy happens. A large reason why some of these small towns like La Grange and Victoria even exist is because the government is subsidizing healthcare through medicare, medicaid, etc.
